Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 walkthrough part 26 (year 3)

After saving pcconfig.txt start trainer, start game and begin level. You will notice that colors are some how different on lightened parts of game and when you do lumos spell it looks very weird.. Don't worry about those lightning problems, just play level and it should work now and not freeze in the end. When you have completed level and your process is saved, close game and replace that pcconfig.txt you have modified with original one you copied earlier. When you start game, lights are ok.

So if game freezes, what you need to do is to open your game's config-file. You can find it in Win 7 from hidden folder: C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\WB Games\LEGO® Harry Potter™ and file named pcconfig.txt. First make copy from that file and then open the original one and change every number to 0 except FileVersion, ScreenWidth, ScreenHeight, WindowWidth - WindowTop, ScreenRefreshRate, Brightness, SFXVolume, MusicVolume, MasterVolume, MusicEnabled and MouseSensitivity. Then save...

I found one way to get over the bug-ice-part. Google words "Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 trainer" and download it. Start trainer and then Lego Harry Potter. In front of ice, activate high-jump cheat (I think it was by pressing number 8) and jump over the ice. Then deactivate cheat by pressing that key again (8?). In same level there is another nasty bug that could freeze the game. I don't have enough space there to tell how to fix this so I write another post after this.

I cannot get farther than 1.46 because my computer completely freezes once I activate the gargoyles. How can I stop that from happening? I never had a problem throughout the entire game until now! :(

@awwlad1 Look for my earlier comments. You need to change your game's config file. Turn almost all values to 0 and then it works. When game is saved, turn values back.

Help! I am in the dark forest in game 1 on my DS and can't get to the potion. It is right in front of Harry hanging up in the air but he is stuck in a puddle it looks like and so I can't get any further. has anyone had this problem. Also my game won't save. I have to start from the beginning each time. Too time consuming to be much fun.

Ok on the pc version, i get to the part at 1:46 and it freezes. i have done this on two different computer and same area. one game i legally bought as a pc game in a store, and the other i got off piratebay. is anyone else having this glitch?

i think its a problem for pcs only. so all you have to do is plug the second player and cast the spell on the first one. before the spell reach the target, pause the game and drop the second player out. do it again for the other one. (hope you understood)

you pause the game with 2nd player's pause button. if you go to controller options you will see which one this button is..

@Carnbin I had same problem and after ice, there is another bug that sometimes freezes game. Try google words "lego harry potter years 1-4 trainer" and download it. It's cheeting application that allows you do some nice things. Activate extra high jumping cheat and jump over the ice and deactivate cheat then.

@jonyboy8000 I think it IS a bug, I have the PC version too. I managed to break it after over five minutes of trying, you have to be very precise or something. But then when I used the torches to try and melt the next ice block (at like 2:05 in this vid), my game completely froze on me, and I had to shut the computer off. Luckily it didn't erase all my data, but it's still annoying. This happened three times, I'm not too keen on playing it anymore. :'(

Are you talking about the game freezing when you hit the statue(s) to melt the ice wall? Overall, this game has MANY glitches and freezing problems. The way that I fixed it was to have Hermione (and Crookshanks) stay in the corner of the fountain where you found the water barrel, then AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN, make Harry ride the windy flower to the top and hit the statue, THEN SWITCH TO HERMIONE ASAP. Wait a few seconds and then go and do the same thing with the other statue.

No problem. A lot of people have issues with this area simply because of the animation associated with the melting ice. Which I find odd because in other parts of the game, the ice melts fine. But make sure as Hermione, you have Crookshanks out. It buys you about an extra 6 seconds til Crookshanks disappears and Hermione tries to follow you again. That should be enough time. & instead of the fountain, try the door with the lock(make her stand by that & crookshanks too).it's farther.

at 1:50 you have to build the statue. But when I build a statue or cast at an already made one, the game freezes, and I can do no shit. What do I do? The store doesn't take already opened games, so I won't get my money back if I give it back to the shop.
