i wouldnt say "copy" for what Luna sea has taken from Dead End, shinya was an dead end's rodie and riyuichi seems to be a big fan, whats the problem to take it as an influence ?
@Morwen2Eledhwen The problem is, that im not from USA nor Canada, so i don't think i can buy it, not to mention they probably don't do shipping to my country, oh well nvm then :[
@MrMadMadMan I'm not from there either, and I had no problems buying stuff from CDJapan. They ship to most places in the world, so you really don't have to worry about that.
This is my favorite song from Zero. I saw them at RockMayCan before the major debut and wasn't too impressed but "Dead Line" just blew me away, but it was really dark compared to DE of this era (1988).
@ZyklonB95 Me too, been a Luna Sea fan forever and new to Dead End! Well just a little disappointed with Ryuichi's lack of originality haha. Thankfully he had the vocals to back it up. :)
HOLY CRAP! I completely agree with this statement. Not to take ANYTHING away from Ryuichi who is amazing himself. I'm actually new to Dead End and Morrie, having previously been a huge fan of Luna Sea. Seeing this is pretty eye opening.
@byonin just search "serafine lyrics" on google. You should be able to find them pretty easy since Ryuichi Kawamura also did a cover of this song on his Evergreen album.
Just IMAGE? The first 3 albums were a whole copy of DEAD END, and a lot of songs sound like Dead End's songs. Good Morning Satelite... Luna Sea so copied it =P
DEAD END fue sin duda alguna un gran grupo...jeje...recuerdo que finalicé el 2008 y recibí al 2009 escuchando esta maravillosa canción...^o^!!!!...amo la voz de Morrie!!!!
i start listening jp bands with the advent/widespread of the internet in the late 90s (like many), so i miss their era and could only enjoy thru file-sharing like these~~
youtube is like a neverending classroom for 'students' who have put off their studies =)

It's like you're looking at Ryuichi, or watching a Luna Sea video with Morrie dubbed over the vocals. Especially when you first see him at 1:20
ZyklonB95 1 year ago
looks like ryuichi from luna sea did a complete 100% rip off of the vocalist's image. hahahhaa

@savonviolette yeah i definitely agree, but only during their infancy. first year or so only.

Yes. Fortunately they found their own style. Most bands imitate early on, and later develop their own style and sound.

actually, it's Morrie who influenced Ryuichi. Dead End disbanded in 1990. Luna Sea (Lunacy) started in 1989.

oh yeah sorry. my fault xD I wrote that line wrong. Actually I meant that it was Morrie who influenced Ryuichi!!! Sorry again ^^'

XxRustyNailxX 2 years ago 2
The live is from... 1989, I think. Dead End disbanded in 1990, but reunited again this year and now I'm reaaaally curious to hear their new sound.
Morwen2Eledhwen 2 years ago
thanx for the answer! i heard of their reunion ^^ This band seems to be very interesting....i like their sound^^
