So american, why not wear jeans while you teach, may be not now.

Taking of a consort is a common practice in many lineages, and look past the long hair..Geshe-La is helping the Dharma take root in the west, and we are very grateful for him..he is the king of logic.
i respect that you're Tibetan, but please understand that what Geshe Michael is trying to do is to help adapt the Dharma to the West. The U.S. is never going to have so many monks as Tibet had, and most of the people who follow the Dharma here are women. He is one of the few teachers now trying to promote women as teachers...
Also, just for the record, he wears his hear long to remind himself of his 3-year retreat; although not a Gelukpa tradition this was a tradition in Tibet for many years

Geshe-la is the wisest and most amazing man I've ever read, listened to or contemplated. Your attack has no factual basis, and if you care to be open minded about his teachings, pick up one of his books and educate yourself.
No, my experience is not my evaluation. My 'experience' is the truth--Geshe-la has not broken his monk's vows and thousands of people will attest to that. To put it otherwise is simply ignorance. I choose to to not allow such ignorance to be spewed about my teachers thank you.
Hi Annex, i respected Geshe Michael teaching in west.but he shouldn't wear monk rope. maybe he didn't study well in Drama text call (Du wa) (which is law of monk) written by Buddha him self. you should ask him or ask hight Geshe Lharampa. they know how that work. he could wear white rope which exist In tibetan buddhist practice.

@comradecanuck Geshe Michael is trying to adapt Tibetan Buddhism to benefit mainly non-ordained westerners; he one of the only teachers in this tradition promoting women teachers. If you don't like his teachings, don't attend--but be careful, for your sake, how you judge others.

No, my experience is not my evaluation. My 'experience' is the truth--Geshe-la has not broken his monk's vows and thousands of people will attest to that. To put it otherwise is simply ignorance. I choose to to not allow such ignorance to be spewed about my teachers thank you.

Do not Judge Michael Roach based upon internet gossip. Read his teachings if you are interested in his way of life. He is an amazing man.

Michael Roach is not a monk, he commited an offence of defeat by having sex with his student(s?), and cannot be considered a monk.
