@canido29 you must get pioneer ts w3001d4 and wire him in parallel to get 2 ohms and then put it on your amp in bridge too and that will be fine.that sub is rated on 1000rms but it is always better that the amp is a lil bit stronger than sub...if you wanna push your amp to 1 ohm then your gonna need 2 subs for each channel...hope it helped you dude:)

@transdrole X-Max is the amount the voice coil can move while still fully in the gap....it is diffrent than X-Mech....the woofer will move much more than its Rated X-Max...while X-Max for this Driver is Rated 4.9 MM the woofer cone obviously moves at least 3 Timees that distance.

oh well then it wont do anything do your amp. The only time it could ruin your amp is if the rms is higher than the amps rms and if the max peak is higher than your amps rms because if it is, it could ruin your amp, but thats depending on the amp. The cheap ones will fry but the more expensive ones would just get hot.

first of all, peak power means nothing. it is what a speaker can handle during a breif musical burst.

you always go by rms.

also, if you are running an amp at full power before clip, and the speaker that you have connected to it is being overdriven and the voice coil melts, you can short out the amp. if the amp doesnt have a protection feature, you will fry it pretty quick.

I take it your a musician?? I make films but have shot some music videos inc modern R an B. Its the whole thing that makes it not just the lyrics or bass, but the musical craftmanship, depth, rhythm, originality etc. You cant break it down into constitute parts. A good track is defined by being good fullstop. That means almost always old school in rap, if you are pushing the bass high its not going to compensate for deficency elsewhere.
