If you can tweet about my Heart Attack Survivors Unite!!!! group, it would be so much appreciated. You have the voice and the wide audience. Meanwhile, I'm gonna stop the pity party and make a series of YouTube Videos to publicize it, what I'm doing it for, to be a 24/7 support group for anyone who's been through a similar life changing event. Survivors of all types have special circumstances---you give me hope and the gumption to just go with my feelings- DO MORE, CRY NO MORE. I THANK YOU!!!!!♥
Thanks JR, I'm a Mom, 54, 3 boys grown, they never went to war as you did....I felt lucky for that. But you know I've been hiding in a darkness for FOUR YEARS of depression and fear after my own 4 heart attacks, and almost a year of completely not working. I do have a Facebook page 24'7 as a support group for other heart attack victims, and its grown in one year to close to 400 people who talk and relate every day. It's MY path now to give back, and you have inspired me to be my best. Thanks!!!
I hope you make alot more videos....you are VERY inspiring and I love your attitude. I'm a Mom, age 54, got to know you on Dancing with the Stars, and I just think you are a wonderful adult in this world and can really help influence many many people. Keep up ALL your astounding good work. Thanks for your service, good luck with the baby on the way!!!! I'm proud you're part of our "culture" and are a fellow American. Thanks, JR......I really care about you. ♥
J.R., I was the red headed/nurse/ SSG working SRP at Fort Campbell, KY who met you when outprocessing the day before Thanksgiving leave 2003. Your bright spirit struck a cord in mine. I was parusing Hulu videos this morning- and saw a clip about a former soldier on Dncg WT Stars...I recognized you IMMEDIATELY! I hope life continues to go well for you, you absolutely deserve good things!Much love, SFC Rikki Hurston, Louisiana Army National Guard. PS I don't watch soaps, had no idea! mssg me plz
Hey Martinez, what unit were you in? I was 2nd Brigade Combat Team too, during the invasion, in 1/320th Field Artillery. I just found out about you. You've come so far! Thanks for being such an inspiration brother! God Bless you.
Off Topic : "Young men... and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense." I heard about J.R's story on the radio today and I love how positive he is and it's very inspiring. I just wanted to share that.
