well if your strapped on cash, you could always use your DVD recorder but there are some setbacks to that, sometimes there is no option to record in widescreen also you only get one take so it has to be perfect.

I personally use the "pinnacle video transfer"

it is great because it doesn't need to plug into a comp. it just records on a hard drive/memory stick, and it has great quality.

its cost is $100

if you dont see yourself using the product a lot then just use what you got. save money

well it records, I don't know why it's called "the transfer" I think because it can also be connected to the TV/VCR, in case you wanted to "tranfer" the old video to your hard drive/ computer.
