  • I love the Cleveland Red Line. I love the Japanese cars. This looks like an interurban with either single or double cars with pantographs. I rodes this back in 2005. I have to make another trip there one of these days.

  • @RTD8481 hi my name is thomas i live in columbus can you tell me way cleveland has light rail but columbus ?

  • What the hell there be light rail cars there to whats going on up there they killing time instead of running the waterfront since they k8illed it

  • Perhaps they're going to the yard by the airport?

  • they come from the yard by the airport aka Brookpark Yard. Thats where they are dropped off at after coming in from the highway from some place in New York to get rebuilt.

  • @abangthebeat Yep, and what GV92TA said. I still forget about that yard.

  • no...those light rail cars are newly rebuilt Breda units from 1981. When we get the new ones back from rebuilt/rehab, RTA runs them up and down the Redline on the weekends and late at night to both break them in and test them out before putting them in revenue service.

  • is it just me, or does this equipment look like the stuff that was used on the Skokie Swift out in Chicago?

  • IMHO: Just you.

  • nice round wheels on that system, eh?
