no oasis, no blur, no who, no queen, no nirvana, no michael jackson, no bob dylan, no chuck berry, no buddy holly, not enough beatles or stones. but rihanna! c'mon!!
@JohnLennon4King does anyone bother to read the title cards at the beginning of this video , its meant to be just great songs that came out that year in order to 1958 - 2008.
These arnt favourites but just great songs that came out in the year it represents , pretty simple : )
hence why rhianna appears in 2007 was it i forget.
omg so many of them songs just made me think of my father and me sitting listening to music thankyou i loved your top 100 but the top ten of it was awesome thankyou again
Plenty of interesting choices but had to knock points off for all the incorrect years used. Not sure if they were just goofs or if you just don't like 90s/00s era music and were trying to keep them offlist.
dude you couldnt be more wrong californication was released in 1999 , go check it out for yourself , search californication red hot chili peppers on wikipedia and you'll be in for a shock ... i know my music mate
you see i dont just guess i know when these songs were released and i made sure they made an appearence in the uk top 40 for the given year each of these songs represent :P
ok, sorry for Cal, its really from 99, I got wrong info from another source... but it was realeased in 2000 :D (by wiki) and Imagine in 71 (but xandris451, Shoul I Stay or Should I Go was really in charts decade later release) but I think youre bigger music expert than me so I can be wrong in this too...
This is an interesting concept, but I think you can improve by spending a little time by adding some better quality songs. As many have already said, there are a lot of big songs and artists that were left out. But with a little bit of effort, I think it can be a good list.
Shut the fuck up with Nirvana they are the most overated band ever, the list as a whole isn't to my taste but it aint a bad list and Hendrix is awesome
Stupid list....where is Nirvana,the Doors,Bob Dylan,The Rolling Stones,The Pixies,Sonic Youth,Patti smith,Metallica,R.E.M,King Crimson,Beck,the Kinks,the who & maybe michael Jackson..........and all we get is Rihanna and Duffy ......
btw the pixies rule ... but i think you missed th e point the song is meant to of been in the charts of its given year , thats why duffy and rhianna are in the list :)
well tbh it was a very rushed list didnt put alot of work into it , only took about 3 hours and its not meant to be the best songs just some of the great songs from those years , plus im only 19 so i cant of heard all the music from that time :)
1965 was an EPIC year for music. Sorry, but there's a whole lot of better songs than the one here (ex. My Generation, satisfaction, like a rolling stone, etc.)
Also, you passed over the entire grunge period like it didnt happen.
At least you got a Pink Floyd song.
'Money' should have been for 1973.

And Voodoo Child (Slight Return) 1970? But of course, that's one of the 50 greatest songs of the last 50 years.
And were is Bohemian Rhapsody? That's 1975, not Imagine
