Short wheelbases and high centers of gravity equals tip over..... and pain. Get the weight lower down and stretch the base out a little.... or go slow...
People, go do a search on conservation of energy. With a regenerative system, you only get part of the energy back. Car regen gives only 10% back, I would estimate only about 5% on an electric bike/trike. The best way to conserve energy is to do some peddling along with the motor. Regen systems are good for improving the performance of the brakes though, making the bike safer.
if someone built a rechargeing electric they would get killed just look at histery all free energy inventers died sudenly and unexplaned tesla was first . the technogly is out there just waiting for the right time when it can be .
with 3 hub motors u could use that to pull tree stumps hahaha.i put a electric motor on my bike because i heard it was illegal to pedal azz.well im a little disabled to so it allowed me to ride with normal people.have fun
They have been putting generators on bikes for years to run a lamp. hook a generator up same principle to your drive.. will get you farther even at a 50% increase in charge or what about 25%???? chose people all they talk about is power power power. how has that been working so far??? Think outside the box...... new ideas create new inventions...
Ill always argue. I've Been mad about this for 30 years.you still years behind,,where is the self charging system?? not to mention the 4 wheeled motored system?? I dont see the power gearbox yet anywhere. The motor is not the key its the power gearbox. So get to work ,make the power gearbox, change the way the world travels. And remember im watching..
(disclaimer: I have all kinds of concepts but no money or time so all i have is theory talk, so pardon my ignorance but i'm trying to learn as fast as possible.)
1. Doesn't a gearbox defeat the purpose of a hub motor? What about capacitors?
2. I prefer fewer parts for lower maintenance cost. So i gravitate toward designs with hubs only, or dual CVT's or large capacitors for acceleration.
3. Gears add weight, noise, and maintenance costs, right?
1 a hub motor is direct drive. as opposed to gear drive which can take x power from the power source and mutiply it to the drive hence less power more drive.. pedel a 21 speed bike as you change gears same power more drive ,or less as you chose.. put a power hub on a bike as the drive gear on a 21 speed bike instead of direct see what u get.. get a 1 ton truck to go 100 miles on a charge and you solve 99.9999 percent of the proplem. the need for fuel.......
Electric motors have a very flat speed / torque curve which negate the need for multiple ratios. Humans and petrol based engines don't have the luxury of such a flat speed / torque curve, hence the need for gearing.
Regarding regen systems, they are already commercially available for powered bicycles, and have been used in industrial electric drive applications for some time.
Quite frankly, were all thinking in the same box - some of us just don't realize were in it.
No pedals on this one. The designer, I think, was making it more for people with mobility issues, and for people to have whom may not have capacity for driving a car because of thier age.

@MrJetjoe There is plenty of free energy to be had.... it's called the sun.

nice not having a drive train. check out our electric quad at search " iquad electric " see what you think :)
