I love it when people compare Shaq to Hakeem. Shaq had about a three foot range, and those three feet were vertical. Hakeem could make it consistently past 15 feet and he had a whole range of low post moves that didn't require him to just muscle people.  If the refs had called three seconds on Shaq when they should have, he would have scored about four points a game.

@34HakeemtheDream34 Talent wise I'll agree with you, but the accolades and dominance of Shaq and rings and chemistry of Russell are hard to argue, It's a tough call on those guys. but I'd be okay to bump Shaq down below Hakeem before I'll bump Russell. Shaq seemed to have some real chemistry problems with players and I don't think his antics would ever support a team dynasty that lasted as long as Russells regardless of his talent. Hakeem fits into the team game much better in that respect.

@tuzwol Jordan did the same thing and is called great for his off the ball blocks. Hakeem was great blocking shots on the ball or off the ball. He's 1# all time in NBA history in blocks so enough said.

u can also block a sky hook, while the ball is in the horizontall position by going sideways forward onto the attacker. This prevents him to achieve his maximum lift of the ball in order to shoot downwards...
