Mother nature is cruel, why can't we just live to say 100 years and stay the same & just die, no we have to get old & decrepit & die, my perfect age would be 30 without a doubt.
@readynow12345 my perfect age looks wise would be 21 for sure lol....bt then again u can live a long time and still look pretty good if you have good genes and u gt a bit of work done...look at raquel welch or joan collins...they look fantastic cos good genes and a bit of work done
@readynow12345 in the 1974 interview, paul was 49 going on 50 and he looked better than most 30 year olds I know! at the end of the day age is only a number, it's about how you look and feel that matters. people can still look great at 40 or 50 if they take care of themselves but can look much older by 30 if they don't :)
odd how an actor has his own twitches and moves: Newman always tugged at his neck in pauses, James Mason had this double lipped inward turning grimace, etc, hundreds of others for other actors and their patented mannerisms they carried
@doctornoooo he also heightened his left eyebrow a lot. That left eye dominated that face. His right eye was no match for the left one. That one was crazy.
I hope I age as well as Paul. I exercise constantly and force positive thoughts w/ the aid of therapy and college. I hope i turn out like him. Except I don't drink often or chain smoke like he did. I'm glad of that.
Can you guys imagine if he wasn't addicted to alcohol or cigs. Shit He'd be alive right now.
@cellardoor199991 not exactly for example Jeanne Calment oldest person ever lived (1875-1997) used to smoke cigarettes and drink wine for over 80years and actor Harry Dean Stanton (1926- he smokes cigarettes and drinks but he's still active actor in hollywood so you can't be sure if it caused early death because it's a gamble and luck
@povilasbacevicius that's true but he died of lung cancer. Smoking causes lung cancer more than anything else. You are right, though, on many levels. BTW drinking wine a very healthy thing as long as you're not an alcoholic. Wine has many antioxidants that retards the aging process and helps with memory and function as long as you drink moderately-like I do.
Yeah Paul was deffinately a bright man but he was married to an equally bright woman in Joanne but a woman doesn't get the credit for that as easily as a man does like even an old man can play a main lead character but a woman gets downgraded to maternal and teacherly roles though they {women} get stuck with those roles younger as in Clara in long hot summer was a school teacher and Joanne was only 27 when she played that part or Rachel in Rachel Rachel
@CalifoniaGirl yeah but stll Paul graduated high school, was in the Navy, revieved a B.S. in business, recieved a M.A. and was an illumnist of the ACtor's STudio. He was smart even w/out Joanne.
He was so handsome

He was too cool and too legit for Hollywood.

You can't really define 'star' except to say that it's someone you can't take your eyes off of... and THAT'S a star!
