why the hell doesnt anyone ever make proper real video/audio lessons on learning this language, i mean i know it's not hard to learn from the few offical websites but i still want stuff where people are actually speaking it more verbally. you dont come across it much. we need verbal lessons.
@JTBunkey (1/2) oh, that's a nice idea and i support verbal lessons, but if you want them to improve your manner of speaking, be rest assured that toki pona is designed to allow variation in sounds... even if you have a very heavy american accent "toukii pounaa," for example, you will still be understood. even speakers of such east asian languages that tend to mix up r and l when attempting to utter words in english will be well understood in toki pona.
@JTBunkey (2/2) however, if you want to develop a neutral accent, remember that the letters of toki pona are entirely consistent with IPA usage. in other words, read the text as if you are reading IPA, if you know it... if you don't, learn the fourteen characters necessary for toki pona ^_^ good luck! if you need any help, don't hesitate to contact me!
