  • Que maravilha de musica hein?? simples e despretensiosa. que bom que naqueles tempos não existia a praga chamada DJ, que estraga as músicas que outros fazem.

  • Its a tie....The Ventures and The Shadows..

  • I don't care who you are, if the Ventures don't get your heart beating you need to see a doctor fast. Who needs words to get in the way of the music?

  • Lew Bedell wrote that tune.

  • Pure Awesomeness (:

  • Moje młode, wspaniałe lata.

  • wtg...

  • thanks for posting this

  • Quando jovem fui guitarrista de vários conjuntos da época e o que mais tocava eram as musicas dos Ventures.

Meu primeiro conjunto foi Os Bopes de São joão Climaco.

  • What a way to start the morning.. watching the percolator go.. hehe. Though, I never cared for coffee, I appreciated the machine that gave it. The most simple sounds of life provided by the best instrumental rock band of the 60s and 70s. The Ventures were Top drawer, giving us music that was fun and great to listen to. Even fun to dance to.

  • Listened to this a lot when I was little.

My Gran would keep me occupied by having me watch the percolator & to let her know when it got to going :)

  • @TheLobogirl me too it was a baby sitter for 5 or 10 minutes i loved the glaa pyrex that my aunt had..i think the coffee was fuller and richer tasting ..even folgers tasted gr8 lol

  • Maxwell House coffee's percolator commercial: watch?v=C_HN_3ulO9M

  • the percolater song came from advertising folgers coffie on tv

  • @sgrinder666 Maxwell House

  • Ah, so this song's called Percolator? I remember a version of this recorded in the early 1970's by a band called Hot Butter

  • @Poopingbotham Hot Butter played Popcorn

  • @torole1 I remember that one too, Percolator was the follow up to Popcorn!

  • There is never a hint of paucity of arguments in my soul untill I have my second cup of coffee.Take care ADonovan43

  • Great, not heard this one before, classic ventures sound!!

  • This tune pre-dates surf and it sounds like a percolator. A lot of Ventures stuff is covers of early instramentals.

  • Could have been a Schwrtzenegger movie, but he was too young at the time!

  • I love the ventures! but, what possed them to call the song "percolator"? What does a percolator have to do with surf rock?

  • @bliesberg your probably too young to remember coffee percolators. the beginning sounds just like a pot of coffee percolating.

  • Comment removed

  • @fenderman888 I have a percolator, I do know what they are. Ma uses it for coffee n' tea. hence why I asked why it was names percolator not what a percolator is, I didnt think it sounded too much like one either..

  • SURF ROCK ON !

  • Denna har jag aldrig hört

  • Mel Taylor was great. As was/ is the whole band. I love the drum work in the "Ninth Wave" on the Surfing album.

  • Where can I download this song?

  • Mel Taylor never missed a beat. What talent that man had.

  • @papabugs71

Amen to that! I don't know how he was able to produce the complex sounds with the drums that he did, but he did. A one-of-a-kind drummer that will never be replaced.

  • Listen to the guitar player .. this is just as good??? Boogie - Jukka Kinnunen

  • IT'S TIME FOR THE PERCOLATOR!

    watch?v=yVTvzqIHiNk

The Ventures are my all time favorite band in the whole world!! GREAT SELECTION off the "Telstar" album!!

    RIP BOB BOGLE * * * * *

  • I enjoyed listening to this one , simple but lively. I used to play it when I was younger.

  • Love any and all things done by the Ventures. Great music to exercise to. Thanks ever so much for sharing these fantastic classics. Love to hear from you.

  • Quote "LovesRoam"!

I'm writing from Italy and I remember an Italian version sung by Mina, maybe the best female singer we have in our country, and it was very nice.

  • Was it Maxwell House, that used part of this tune picturing a percolator on the boil, back in the early ['60s]?

  • yes it was

  • Fantastic!!

  • Another great song I hadn't heard in years. Thanks for sharing

  • Love this one!!! ; )

  • love this music ... brings back good childhood memories
