I saw Longer while cutting my teeth in St Barth on a long board at Turtle Island I fucked up big time for so many days until I watched the way he belly rode the wave till he popped to his feet the rest was so much easier even though I can not surf like Joel I got so much better just watching him drop in and cut back thank you Joel I also surfed Windansea on a 6 3 fish and I owe it to Joel and John Winnick

I've used v=IuRHxmRfpOM as my textbook and it really helped me out too. Watch how in this vid he takes 3 leisurely strokes and uses planing to do the rest of the work. Then notice he plants his KNUCKLES(!) (and way back too) to get better lift so he can plant his front foot way back and do that super fast turn. Studying Joel improved my longboarding by an order of magnitude.
