wtf do you mean only ending? the jackal gives you 2 options i believe. 1 go blow yourself up and the other one you shoot yourself. you're free to choose.

How did u make xfire work with FC2? When I press scroll lock + x or v, nothing happens. Steam works well but xfire doesn't. No matter if I launch the game from xfire (launch far cry 2).

It also suck on account of the save system. WTF WHY CANT I PAUSE THE GAME AND SAVE!?!? I HAVE TO DRIVE HALFWAY ACROSS THE GOD DAMN COUNTRY JUST TO FIND A SAFE HOUSE OR A SAVE POINT. Of course this wouldnt be so bad if there were some sort of quick travel option (other than the buses) in the game. Quick travel by bus still takes an age cause u still need to fucking drive to the station half the time cos its sooo far away. id say the only plus for me about this game is the selection of weaponry

bought this game 2 years ago, played it, got bored, left it, went back to it just recently and forced myself to finish it..... i got so frustrated along the way. It just repeats, drive here blow up a convoy, drive here, kill a guy, drive here, blow up a convoy, drive here kill a guy, more fucking DRIVE HERE and on and on and on. The gameplay is so shit . As for the graphics, they suck ass. Character models are extremely poor when u consider the standard of games these days. Bad ending as well...

@kaide1000 dude just cause an ending doesnt go the way you want and be all heartwarming and resolved, its not a bad ending. It shows that developers have the balls to make a game with more realistic endings rather than being perfect fairy tale endings.

So, all that for a collapsed government, Reuben cant get a Story... did the Jackal even die? i doubt it, this is what could have happened.

1-The jackal throws a grenade at the dynamite and gets away in time/

2- after you die in the explosion the jackal shoots out the guards he gave the diamonds to, causing a distraction allowing him to escape!

no this game is pretty different from the other Far Cry games, in my opinion this isnt even a true Far Cry game. This is just a game in africa that they stamped the "Far Cry" title onto to make it sell copies, i mean you aren't the same guy, You aren't in the same environment, and there is Nothing about mutation or genetic modifactions or anything like in the original! and the expansions. I mean this is an Ok ghame, but it isn't a true Far Cry. I say "Ok" because it just got really repetetive.

Me and two of my brothers played this game in very different ways. The ending was the same regardless what you chose. There is only the battery or the diamonds.

We all thought that was a truly bull shit ending. I really wanted a big drawn out battle at the end, one where I we would have to fight to the last round we had. I had so much ammo left at the end. The end was so damn EASY! a few guys to kill and thats all!

Save the people and commit suicide??? How stupid!

I chose the bomb too, I was disapointed about not being able to roam around after but I just loaded an older save xD. I like this ending, it's really an impact in the whole game. I think they made a good moral at the end and an awsome suspense. The song choise was very good to that too.

@soldierbreed you dont have to choose the ending where you die. You can choose the other where you have to kill a person. But you dont do it, and the jackal ends up blowing up himself.

@GoldenOne2435 Late Response, but the person you kill when you choose the diamonds is yourself, you blow your brains out because you can't live with what you did to your friends and having to be on malaria meds your whole life with the possibility of dying from your illness. You can either sacrifice yourself for the good of Africa, or kill yourself and let Jackal sacrifice himself. Personally I chose sacrificing myself, makes me feel more noble.
