like blood3386 i also have the same error, tryed all compatibility modes, yet no progress, everything else seems fine apart from that error, but the amber light wont show when i install the pandora battery.

@blood3386 uh frist off all its asking if you want to delelteall your data then it ask you are you sure and i then it might of screwed up so there a error now and that pretty much it but turn your psp off then turn it on and hold r turn off what ever that has noting to do with your psp and was added cause of what you added and that should be it if this donest work then this screwed up your psp and you have to buy a new one thats all i know about a psp good luck pal

what does it mean when it's bricked, as in, what happens once it's bricked?

It means it's not usable. When u turn it on, it's just a black screen for like 10 seconds nad it turns back off. This is full brick. Semi brick means you can access the recovery mode by holding the r button while turning it on, but that's it.
