What is this fuckery? Why must writers take something real then exaggerate the shit out of things that were just fine already? Nice work though on Ben's part.
What about religious brainwashing taking place in cults resulting in deaths, not all cults mind you? --When visiting a Virginia military base on a field trip while living in Maryland, I took a look into a building off tour. I witnessed a film playing to new recruits all about learning to kill or be killed.

I love Ben Browder - he is the best emotional actor I have EVER seen! He is amazing! I can't wait to see this film!! No other actor can do "hearbreak" like he can! I know I'm gonna need a full box of tissues to get through this...

Increadible. No audio, but I can completely feel his pain, regret, and sorrow. Everyone in America need to see this movie - they need to understand there are people involved. Vets are people. They do their jobs and deserve our support. I love you Ben for doing something that must not have been easy. Will be recommending this film to everyone.
Please everyone... don't watch a video without sound. The words are very important. Remember before their was light, and dark, and everything that walks or crawls on this earth, there was The Word. Please... go to the other video.
Looks heavy and somewhat controversial; even without the sound. Meaty role for Ben though which is cool. Will probably take some heat from right-wing idiots, which may be annoying, but may also have its pluses (sometimes celebrities are loved more because of the people they piss-off; e.g., Dixie Chicks). Best of luck with it Ben!
Looks very interesting; this topic certainly needs to be talked about.
Quite a departure in character for Ben; usually this kind of material gets ostracised for being 'unpatriotic' (propaganda only happens in other countries apart from the IS of course) but hopefully the new regime will prove different. Wish him all the best.
The camera used to film is an interesting choice - has a very home-made feel to it.
I was able to catch it the other day with audio, though for some of it it's not needed you can really see what he is conveying in his eyes; pain, regret, twinges of anger even a little rage. When I did hear his voice the pain is raw, I really hope it can be finished so we can see the catharsis or resolution.... what happens next
Hey youtube - what's up with only enforcing your stupid copyright rules only on certain vids? it's not like anyone is making money off this clip - EXCEPT YALL through the ads. sheesh. as far as Ben and the new movie go - can't wait!!
Fans, Still trying to deal with Youtube about putting back in the sound. I've purchased a license to the music they say is problematic, but there's no one I can inform of this. It appears that whatever I do, a computer hears the music and removes it. Amazing! Still trying. If worse comes to worse, I will remove all music and just let the text play. The words are far more powerful then the music.
Please forgive the temporary muting of this video. We are presently presenting Youtube with the paperwork to reinstate the sound track that is in dispute. Thanks Jonas 613
Thank you , Jonas613 , for your efforts to reinstate the sound track . Your efforts are very much appreciated . Thank you , for keeping us up to date on this . I await further news in this .
I am so looking forward to seeing the finished product. Ben Browder is an amazing actor. So excited about this new project for Ben. I have been waiting patiently to hear about what he was up to....
He has such a haunted look about him. This will be a powerful documentary.
A massive number of human lives have been wasted on this senseless conflict. I've seen figures upwards of 1.3 million Iraqi deaths due to the US invasion. I don't know what the breakdown of civilian to military is, or even if that number is accurate. When we add huge numbers of potential US suicides it makes it even WORSE.
A powerful piece of work. I think that if done right, a great message will be sent to the leaders that do not see upclose the true nature of war, the destruction of dreams.
This looks really interesting. I can't wait to learn more about it. I can't remember that there have been many movies about Iraqi war vets coming home and what they have to deal with, so I'm definitely curious to how this movie handles that.
And Ben Browder is just great. I've loved him for years and I'm not at all surprised at how well he does hear. I'm really looking forward to seeing him the whole movie.
They definitely chose the right actor for this role. Ben can bring on the emotion, especially this deep remorseful type. This is a heart breaking issue and it kind of reminds me of John Crichton talking about the day he brought a bomb to work in a field of flowers. I know that was fiction.....just saying he knows how to tap into that deep sorrowful emotion that makes us cry and this will be even more emotional because....sadly it's real.
Wow what a moving clip. It leaves me wanting more. I would love to see a sensitive & intelligent film raising awareness of the terrible price our soldiers pay for our freedom. This clip has sparked interesting discussions on forums I hang out at (forums unrelated to this topic) between vets, spouses of vets, & civilians.
Ben Browder is an amazing actor. No one better could have been chosen to portray the depth and emotion required for this part. I look forward to seeing his full performance.
If this snippet is any indication, we are in for a angsty character driven story - one Ben can definately sink his *gorgeous* chops into, full throttle!
The subject and commercial viablility will have to be seen, with the present perceptions of war.
Wow! What an incredible performance... and solo. This guy should definitely be in film. He's absolutely in a select group of actors. Reminds me of Josh Brolin, only better looking. I will definitely be looking for more of his work.
The clip was interesting but too short to get a good idea of how the character was processing what he was going through. Browder's more often than not a surprising actor given the right material -story, character- and director. At times he is even brilliant; especially with parts that convey emotion through expression and body language. I'll reserve judgment on this performance once I can put it in the context of a complete film. As a full length film, Browder would be the draw for me.
So wonderful to see Ben in a new role! This clip is very emotional and though-provoking. If past performances are any indication, Ben will make this character very real, very deep. Can't wait to see more!
Ben Browder has amazing range as an actor.I think he does this clip, with it's emotional message, very well. I really hope this movie will be made! Everyone needs to know about this important issue, concerning the welfare of our military personel, after they come home. Ben is perfect for this role.
Being an Arab / American , I know about the pain that is being suffered . By Ben's character . And by the people that are getting killed in the wars . War is ugly . And thank God we have someone like Ben Browder to help bring that cause forward . And perhaps because of this movie , the war and the pain will one day end . God bless the day there is no more war , . . . anywhere !
I am very excited to see Ben doing such an important film. I hope it is an honest depiction of an Iraqi war vet as I am the wife of one from both wars. By that I mean the political commentary should be kept to a minimum. Can't wait to see what Ben does with this sensitive material. He is a great actor!
This is so intense!Being an ex-wife of an army officer, and being around Nam vets for years, this rings so familar. I know Ben can do this justice, I hope it gets made.
Well, if anyone can pull off the role, I am sure Ben Browder can do it. I am really looking forward to seeing this movie. Thanks for the info jonas613.
Ben Browder is a great talent with a phenomenal acting range; he raises the bar in every show and movie in which he has performed. I am jumping for joy to see that he has a new film coming out and counting down the days to seeing him on the screen.
I'm also pleased to see this particular subject hit the screen. Recognition of what our vets are going through after they get home is overdue. I know Ben can do it justice. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it.

When Ben gets out of prison he comes to kill the documentarian, but what he wants is to be killed, as does the documentarian.
I appreciate what you are attempting to do. And I know Ben will be able to do whatever role he is given. But after watching as much as I could of this video, (been there, done that, got the t shirt), I am concerned about why this Iraq vet wants to die, the killing of this family.
Good thing I don't need to see the keyboard to type,my vision has gotten blurry all of a sudden.... Can't wait to see more. Mr. Browder is quite an amazing actor.
Forgot to mention that even in this little snippet, he made me cry. =( The subject matter hits pretty close to home and it's going to be difficult to watch the film, but I have no doubt that it'll be worth the effort.
Simply awesome and emotional. In just few minutes of video, Ben knocks out of the ballpark by pulling this viewer (me) in. I can't wait to see the film later this year. This clip has made my day.
wow, that was... no words. Really, I'm in shock. This is a larger than life performance. Only a few minutes, but it's overwhalming. The deepness of those eyes, the sadness in his voice, the tragedy, it is so real. Absoluteley incredible work. I'm amazed, completely.
Ben Browder has such a capacity to draw you into anything he does. This snippet is just a small example of what he can do. So powerful. His body language and facial expressions...He is simply amazing to watch. I can't wait to see more of this and what he does.
This just wrenches my heart out. Imagine what the rest of the movie is like if Ben grabs you and yanks in this snippet. I am so impressed with his acting and the movie sounds like an important statement about the unspoken cost of the war. Bravo to Ben for a beautiful job. More folks should be exposed to his talents.
I couldn't agree more with andipell and KCK....and I'm noticing how many people have used the word "amazing" to describe Ben Browder's performance. The intensity and weight he gives to such a short snippet has me eagerly anticipating more, along with everyone else. He's drawn me in, that's for sure.
I love this! I know people who've had to deal with horrible things in Iraq and this rings very true. Ben Browder really makes me feel what this guy is going through. He does a great job with this. I'm not surprised, though, because I've seen him in other things, and he's an amazing actor. I hope a lot of people get to see this movie because it seems to be talking about a subject that is difficult to talk about but shouldn't be ignored either.
