Metal Roofing - How to Install Standing Seam Metal Roof

well....hope any DIYers out there dont take this as a complete example of metal roofing installed by a pro. where is the safety rope anchored. ? Where it is now, it offers no help until the guys hits the ground. Love those drills and the snap system does look good.

The only problem I see with this roofing is that the mounting 'clips' are too few and too far apart. One little tornado or a decent hurricane would tear the roof right off.

@basspig My standing seam roofing calls for clips 5' OC for UL 90

those quick drives are great. no doubt. great tool. but, for a tool that is made in Taiwan, it priced high enough. good choice in metal cladding too.

Man, that tool saves so much time and aggravation when installing standing seam panels - in the beginning we were using regular cordless drills, and each screw took forever to install ...

does this type of standing seam panel need some type of seamer? or is it fully interlocking? what machine makes this type of panel?

This is snap-lock standing seam - no seamer tool needed.

what pitch was that 10/12?

@nationalisedmexican - the roof was 12/12 pitch with tear off and new plywood. Good thing it is a farm house below - 2 horses and a huge pig live there :)
