I never meet a homosexual until I joined the US military. How sadly ironic that we are jeopardizing our war against religious extremists because of pressure from zealots here at home. Pathetic.
I am sure you meet gay men and women before you entered however just didnt know or they did not share with you I would like to thank you for serving as you did
Christians from different denomincations come up with all sorts of their own interpretations of the Bible. Especially when the New Testaments written by Paul forbids women from preaching (1 Timothy 2:11-14 & 1 Corinthians 14:34,35). Paul also demands women to wear veils in church (1 Corinthians 11:4-7). In my interpretations of Rom. 1: 26 & 27, I see that as married men avoiding the natural use of their women and lusting after other men OR other women.
I'm a bisexual Christian, and I totally disagree with the Don't Ask Don't Tell Policy because it is highly discriminatory. And as a devout Christian, God made me who I am. For those Christians that follow Lev. 18:22, they'd better follow the rest of Leviticus and stone your kids for being unruly, don't allow tattooed folks into church, don't eat pork or shrimp, don't wear polyester at all, don't hang around barbers.
Ian, they discharged you, that's true. But regardless of that, you ARE a true soldier! One of the bravest! It takes A LOT of courage to be yourself, for what I admire you! This country needs more people like you!
When will you Americans abolish Christian superstition....it's the only way. especially parasites like Family Research Council poisoning the debate and prejudicing legislators.
God bless you Ian. Thanks for your willingness to serve. What next, we will deny skilled gay doctors and nurses to treat our dying loved ones in U.S. hospitals?
Really? Nearly s-i-x-t-y Arabic speakers in 14 years? Just 60? That's not a lot. And forget the "cost of training" we'll just print more money ;)

@kh739 Yes it is, it is a lot when you consider that the number trained is probably in the triple digits. Not in the thousands.

The FRC needs to be registered as a hate group. They're about anything but family.

@hodjepodje Not really, when a christian group supports unchristian ideals there really not on a valid side JM2C.
