  • did the same thing with my 91. the v6 is way underpowered for that size truck. btw like the open headers :D too loud for me

  • @dirtbikedude100 not really, considering the v6 weighs less than the v8 and only has 30-40hp less than the v8, which can easily be balanced out because of the less weight.

  • ohio?

  • @jwar956 Canada.

  • @bradenn well i was off xD nice truck

  • @jwar956 looks a lot different now, amazing paint, 454ss wheels, another inch lower... and a dented hood, lol.

  • @bradenn haha i bet the dented hood makes all the difference? xD

  • @PERAGR0 LOL, sorry, my dad is fucking crazy man, hahahaha.

  • What kind of bucket seats do you have? and How hard were they to mount?

  • @PleasantValleyboy Seats from Honda SiR, mounted on home made 1x4 c channel and some flat bar.

  • Thay would be a Good time for the fuel pump to go out heh... Nice truck.

  • haven't seen you on FullSizeChevy latey... how's the truck coming along?

  • @dagen2009 Kinda put on hold for now, being used as my daily driver, but seeing as we just got 4" of snow today I'll be getting a winter beater soon. Between working and going to school, there's not much time. :( How are you?

  • . Thats a beast you have! wow

  • nice truck, did the same thing with my serria when i got it going, no box, no muffler, up and down the road. im in the process of finding a 5 speed now, to get rid of the shitty automatic behind my 4.3. and throwing in a 305 while im at it.

  • you know they all had the 84mm 4.00 5spd right. LOL its no big deal.

  • umm, no they didn't. there were three manual transmissions offered in 1988 and 1989 for the 1500. There was an iron body 4speed, an alum. 4 speed, and an alum. 5 speed.

and yea, i'd rather have the getrag alum. 5spd over the iron 4sp so for me, it is a big deal.

  • What i mean was the HM290 is an HM290. the HLM60 is an HLM60. the NV3500 is an NV3500.

The precise specs your giving of the input shaft sizes is just unnecessary.

Yea the granny 4 spd and the New process 4spd O/D... the granny trans sucked in a 1/2 ton because it had no o/d and was pointless and the NP 4spd o/d coudln't live behind a 2.5 4cyl.

Just glad we both have 5 speeds because 700R4's suck.

  • Well they made two HM290s. A Wide gear and a Close gear. The wide gear was a 4.02 1st gear and the close gear was a 3.49.

I am not aware of this HLM60, but I'ev seen NV3500s and HM290s beside eachother and they're NOTHING alike. Not even close.

Even the NV3500s had different 1st gears.

Amen though, I'll always drive a stick. Rock on buddy, good discussion.

I dream to put a Cummins BT4 in my truck though... that would just make my day. peace!
