2:07-2:23: Andrew Brough's cut-in ruins perfection in this version of "Dialing a Prayer." if any Kiwi out there has the gig film in their stash, post it on up--pretty please?
Andrew had the odds stacked against him. Both musicians were/ are fantastic, but there was a PC taste in Flying Nun music epitomized by Knox. I remember Knox scorning Brough after a Bike gig, which sounded glorious. Andrew's songs were deemed' too nice'. Shame , the Fits weren't the same without him. The contrast was the beauty.
shayne carter is a genuis. everything he has done is musically brilliant. and the guy still has time to talk about guitar pedals. not a rockstar but a fucking good guy
and another thing,, You know in the film of SF, Andrew will be played by Russell Crowe, and another fucking thing, David Kilgour had plenty of songs in Neighbours,no-one complained about that! Some bloke fell off the roof of Lassiters and the song playing was "Fallaway"!!
Fucking harsh youth, the Fits were genuis and the counterpoint between Shayne and Andrew made the sound, Andrews jangle pop is great but he didnt have the balls to carry the band,, the band needed them both, "Blow" blew in comparisson with Melt and Hail, Take in the Sun was brilliant, but it seems Brough just didnt have what it takes to exists in the pop world, its a shame for him, and for us all....
Many, many thanks for posting this! Straitjacket Fits were such a great band with Shayne and Andrew and not so great without Andrew, and Bike was excellent. I hope we hear from Andrew again one of these days.

Andrew Brough is a bumbling , spastic retard. Bike's music ended up on Home And Away. Not excellent.

Andrew is right. The great thing about SF was the contrast between his and Shayne's songs. The absence of Andrew was felt dearly on the "Blow" LP.

The drum machine's name was Herbie Fuckface.
Great band. I never saw them, but I've seen Dimmer live.

Ah, Straitjacket Fits, my favourite Flying Nun artist. As amazing as Andrew Brough was, Shayne Carter was the real genius in this band in my eyes!
