  • Ha I always think of hooking up an Atari 5200 at 00:38. "Damn, Damn"

  • Watching these videos giving me a serious dose of flashback city. Wow. Thanks for posting these. I've got a LOT more to watch. :D :D :D

  • If Metallica doesnt do a cover of this, I will do it

    The last part is epic!!!

  • If Metallica doesnt do a cover of this, I will do it

  • I once played this game with 2 friends.

A friend started the game and died within 10 seconds.

Next friend took the control and same happened.

Then i took the control. I didn't stop until I beat the game.

After over 10 years this happened, I tried this game again. I died within 10 seconds. lol.

I wonder how I managed to beat it without losing a single life.

  • Somebody needs to rip these beats up wiith rap!

  • 7 people couldn't find their pet frog.

  • thumbs up if you remember hearing this in an AVGN episode.

  • @checkeredflag90210 It was in his 100th video. When he was looking in his drawers for gyros I do believe.

  • @checkeredflag90210 No I remember it from my childhood. Dimwit.

  • @Draguling

good thing i did too smartass.

  • Theirs a band called blaster master and its superr dooooooooppppppppeeeeed

  • Only the intro sounds good

  • 6 people we're novice blasters.

  • SSWEEEET! BLASTER MASTER is one of my most favorite games of all time. Despite popular demand, and yeah graphics now a days are more detailed, but for me it takes away that fantasticality of the game. Sometimes less is more and as for the music well it's awesome especially considering its 16bit. Who's gonna remember any of the theme songs to today's game in 50 or 60 years from now. I still remember that Dig Dug tune and Double Dragon tune from the Nintendo.

  • 3:10 and 5:57 GROAN

  • You know i know a lot of people say that mega man had some of the best music in the nes era. But to me blaster master had some of the most epic music in the game. Every last piece of music on this game is just so memorable.

  • Blaster Master! Blaster Master! Will you help me with my taxes? BLASTER MASTER!

  • Where are the songs for Levels 3, 5, 6, and 8? You really skipped half the games music?!

  • I have the opening/level1 song as my ringtone lol

  • What I wouldn't have given back in the day for a password system

  • @eightbitgnosis not to mention a "continue" count or a way to get more lives

  • fantastic

  • Anybody ever read the novel that went with this game?

  • @desryu There was a novel?!

  • @jakkentokk Yeah go look up blaster masters wikipedia page, you should be able to find information about it there.

  • @desryu yep and it was pretty good from what i remember as a kid

  • I don't know what it is about old NES games, but they really make me feel good.

  • always loved the music to this game

  • Some of the best, varied, and original music for the NES. This game was a beast.

  • Ho......ly.........SHIT! I forgot about this game!!! This music is EPIC, I could whoop Chuck Norris' ass with these songs in my head. Especially the first level music.

  • I never noticed this before but there's a song missing.

  • this music scared the shit out of me as a kid

  • what is the name of the first song?

  • damn the beginning little tune used to sound so fukn cool to me as a little kid

  • And this fast paced music at 3:20, just make me feel like going on a rampage and jumps on wall hahaha

  • I remember back in 1989 when i play that game, it was so ahead of it's time. Wow, what a soundtrack and good feelings watching this video. I was 6 at this time, still love this son of a b****

  • Speed run fail at 4:12. ;-)

  • @newcoke23 I hate that crap. I've been doing manual speed runs of Double Dragon 2, which compared to this is cake easy and its like, you screw up once and you might as well start from the beginning again. Poor Dude.

  • This game has to have one of THE most badass soundtracks. So many years on and I still can't help but hum along!

  • Best game on the NES by far !!

  • It really is funny, because the main theme to blaster master matches almost perfectly with the main theme of pokemon red/blue. Never noticed that until now.

  • 2:38 is the greatest 8 bit beat ever. My goodness this game was fresh!

  • Still one of my all time favorite games for the NES!!!!

  • 0:20

whats with the HOV on the left of the screen?

is this tank a high occupancy vehicle?

  • @CR055H41RZ Hover meter is HOV.

  • Tune at 0:35, totally AVGN's 5200 video. Classic tunes. :)

  • Comment removed

  • I really miss the unintentionally batshit plots of the 80's.

  • The Original Grand Theft Auto

  • i enjoy that during the music i get to watch a rather entertaining run of the game, too.

  • h to the izzo, v to the pizzow

  • The music @ 4:17 kind of reminds me of The Legend of Zelda intro

  • People who hit the dislike button on these videos suck! You people, obviously, don't realize, or appreciate, greatness when you see, or hear it.

The NES is, simply put, the GREATEST video game console, in the history of video games.

Man I loved this game! In 1988 I was 12. I remember playing this into the wee hours of the morning, trying to beat it. 22 years later the game is just as fun as it was back then!

  • @GialloHorror

    Agreed!

And people bit**ing about the remake being too difficult have never ever playes the original.

    Both are extraordinary good games!

  • @GialloHorror Talk about close-minded. I do love the NES, but at least I respect people's right to disagree.

  • @tarmilaweck I'm not close-minded. I have the right to my fucking opinion. If you don't like it, don't waste your time responding to me

  • @GialloHorror hating people for their opinions oh yeah

  • @AnUntitledStory I don't hate any person for their opinions, and please show me where I said that

  • @GialloHorror "People who hit the dislike button on these videos suck!"

  • @AnUntitledStory Where does it say I hate people who hit the dislike button?

People do suck, doesn't mean I hate them

  • @GialloHorror And I'm sure that doesn't make you close-minded at all.

P.S. The NES is nowhere near the greatest video game console..To me.

    opinions aren't facts so shaddup

  • @AnUntitledStory You know what, go fuck yourself faggot. I'd love to see you tell me "shaddup" to my face. You wouldn't have a tongue left, pussy.

Get a life, you ugly, cock smoking scrotum twirler. You're a waste of sperm. You're mother should've swallowed you like the whore she is, bitch boy.

Now get off my nut sack, cock breath because I'm done wasting my time with you, shitbag

  • @GialloHorror You're a simple-minded bigot.

  • @GialloHorror

    hey guess what

welcome to the internet where it doesn't matter whether or not you can beat anybody up. Being able to string a sentence together coherently will get you more respect here than threats of physical violence and regurgitated insults that make you look like a toddler who hasn't had his nap yet.

I guess what I'm trying to say is get the fuck off the internet and go smash your head against something for fun.

  • @kaithekender I'm able to string sentences together, just fine. I'm also able to use correct punctuation, and capitalization in my sentences unlike youself.

I know you can't beat anyone up on the internet. I also know the internet is why half, to75%, of today's youth is, socially, awkward. Seeing as they don't have interaction with society. They just sit at home and play on the net.

I have a feeling you're one of those people.

My comments got him to stop responding. Exactly what I wanted.

  • @GialloHorror

you have a feeling I'm socially awkward because, like you, I'm telling somebody off via youtube comments?

you're also mistaken about my youth I believe. I'm old enough that my first system was a brand-new NES, and I don't think anybody who can say that still qualifies as "youth". But then again, youth is a subjective term for the most part.

Regardless of that, you still said a bunch of stupid shit to somebody on the internet, and it made you look like a jackass.

  • @kaithekender This is the thing, I don't really give a shit how my comments made me look to complete strangers. It's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it.

You got involved in my conversation and it had nothing to do with you.

But yes, I have a feeling you're a fat, lazy, ugly, son of a bitch who is socially awkward, and uses the internet as an outlet to the real world.

Anyway, I've wasted enough of my time with you, so have a nice life..

  • @GialloHorror

Nobody's ragging on your opinions, but rather, how you present them. You chose to present them like a disrespectful, oafish cock, and that is how you will be forever viewed by anybody who reads this exchange. You may not care about that, which is fine, but you are still a disrespectful, oafish cock, and deserve to be informed as much. I am doing so right now, though in the future no doubt others will do so as well. And I highly doubt your personality improves terribly offline.

  • Одна из первых игр на денди которая именно зацепила сюжетом и неординарностью. Жалко не прошёл последний уровень. Но теперь хоть посмотрел тут =)

  • me and my brothers fav gamee back in the dayyy loll, thanks for putting this up

  • I'm a 90's kid, but I wish I was born in 80's. Unfair! You people born in the 80's are one of the luckiest people ever!

  • @MisterPolaristo me too and i agree

the eighties was like the best decade says my dad :P

awesome games, awesome music , in other words just plain awesome !!!!!!!!!!

  • @MisterPolaristo indeed we are. the 90's were pretty cool though too

  • @MisterPolaristo if I ever come across a fusion powered Delorean time machine one day I'm going back to 1980 and live the decade all over again. Who wants to tag along?

  • Sunsoft, Capcom and Konami games have the best music as far as NES games go

  • I loved this game since 1990 when I first played, it so I got a nintendo on ebay and go this game, I played a week straight, at least 4 hours a day memorizing where to go, on the 7th day I beat it! I was so fuckin happy!

  • @ChronozG I also got the kit off ebay. I wish i had enough time in my life to play this for more than 1 h once in a while :( Someday i will beat it too !

  • @EvilMaxWar

Hey buddy, yea I totally understand, but once you're able to get that hour or more use it on this game and once you beat it you'll be so happy! Trust me!

  • 0:44, song gets awesome for 36 secs

  • God... don't get me wrong, I like the music in this game, but the Level 4 sewer maze shit makes me not like it.

  • oh snap, i finally know where these tunes came from!

  • umm...you forgot the level 3,5,6,and 8 themes.....the two different boss themes and last level boss too....a little hurried were we??

  • what i don't like about this video, is that it doesn't include Level 3 in it, which was a far superior music score to the sewer level. :/

  • This game makes me gush precum like a punctured radiator, until eventually I blow my wad like a broken fire hydrant. Then i gotta get a new TV and NES console. Obviously i can't play this game too often.

  • MMMMMM The beautiful nostalgic sound of 8 bit video games.

    AWESOME!!!

  • Megaman 2 and blaster master have the best music ever. The last boss' music of this game is my all time favorite music of any video game.

  • one of my alltime fav NES games.... It was soo sick,.. soo cool,.colorful, gnarly graphics.. and the game was HUGE... I mean c'mon radioactive frogs, hovering battletanks, little teeny tiny explorer figure action,.. with the appropriate cokpit glass lift..lol this game was like an entire Universe in one cartridge. and the tunes of Sunsoft are always amazing!

  • Wow, I use to love this game.

  • @Promecus what, you don't like it anymore? then why are you here?

  • Brings back memories of when I was 13 years old, 1987..

  • Blaster Master is one of my all-time favorite NES games. Yeah, it's got bugs and sprites flicker, but THIS IS THE SHIT.

    -SS

  • YAY FOR BLASTER MASTER!

  • Reminds me of Metal Slug for some reason.

  • this game and music kicked ass, and the gameplay also kicked my ass

  • Absolutely LOVED this game! The music on stage three reminded me of Chains of Love by Erasure.

  • lol 1:54-2:01 Airwolf

  • Hahaha

  • indeed. i really like this kind of stuff :D

  • aw... where's Area 6?

That stage had some of the best ice-theme music ever!

  • good

  • Really enjoy see ur video..Very nice..

See this video in my channel...rate it add n sub me..

U can \ download yours from the link in my video,,

  • the music starting around 1:55 is so awesome

  • SunSoft always had owesome music

  • NO WATER LEVEL?

  • 3:19 "Awesome" straight out of the 90's

  • @Omegax9000 Best music in the game. Sounded a lot like the NES Batman music, in fact, also by Sunsoft.

  • @sabrejack2 Sunsoft made some of the best music on the nes imho

  • @sabrejack2 Sunsoft composed some of the best music to hit the NES in my opinion. Their composers knew how to really use the NES to its fullest capabilities.

  • Comment removed

  • I still love the game, I just wish they didn't leave such a gaping hole in the plot, which actually was quite original

  • That game was awesome! Nostalgic mode! *Tears of joy..

  • No pause glitch? What a not-noob. =D

  • lol

  • great soundtrack for the time, pity they didn't explain more of the plot on the american version, makes a lot more sense than some kid chasing after a radioactive pet frog.

  • We didnt need a fucking gay ass explanation.

We lost our frog and were going to fucking get it back come hell or high water!!!! That's how we roll!!!

  • @Omegax9000 I compliment the soundtrack, but I still get flamed for pointing out possibly the ONLY minor flaw in the game?

  • which is what quez?

  • they didn't mention eve, who Jason ran into after falling underground, and there was absolutely no mention of the Plutonium Boss. If the entire story revolved around the opening sequence, there wouldn't have been any need to continue past stage 4, when you fight the mutated form of his pet frog.

  • I dont know the story didnt care for the story back then, but if you could send me a link. It's funny imo

"We're off to save our damn frog come hell or high water" lol

  • real sad song...into some kick ass music!!!

  • Most video game music in the 80's was more or less progressive metal xfd the one song on here reminds me so much of Dream Theater.

  • I didn't know anybody else knew about this game. This is one of the best games for the nes

  • Hell yeah, this is in my top ten best games of all time!!! Will never forget.

  • Probaly the best NES game to hit the nintendo besides Mario Bros.

  • very underrated

  • Even more underrated is the first song.

Though the story is very crazy. Kid goes to find his frog and finds a car and suit. ;)

  • i miss this game

  • I wish I could walk into a cave and just find a super-advanced tank sitting there.

But I sure as hell wouldn't go look for a frog!

  • @PeanutButterGoodness Get yourself a frog and a environmentally questionable piece of real-estate and you might just get lucky

  • HELLO KITTY!

  • wow i remember this one :D

  • who did this speed run and were can i see the rest? my best time to clear the game was an hour and a half.

  • There should be in the related videos 57 min long video, that's the the whole playthrough. Name is Blaster Master NES.

  • LOVE. THIS. GAME.

Easily one of, if not my favorite, NES games of all time. I dunno why but I just love this one so much more than other popular ones. <3

  • Oh man this is one of the best of the NES games ever I remember this game when I was a kid although I never beat it, it still owns hands down.

  • One of the best NES games made. Just don't die on the last boss...

  • didn't thsi game have inspired creators of metal slug??? watch the tank, it's moving like a metal slug 0.o

  • 1:55 Total Iron Maiden style music

  • i never got a chance to play this one through , hmm maybe i will revisit

  • Man this game is so incredible. Extremely memorable music and awesome gameplay. So many great memories. :D

  • Hmm, never did beat this game, but talk about great gameplay. Like when you can start using boosters to float in the air. Oh man!

  • I love a lot of NES games, but Blaster Master has the best music -and- the best gameplay of all. Sunsoft completely kicked all existing ass in making this title. Sophia the 3rd Nora in pink and blue-hair Jason FTW!

  • one of the best of nes and all times ,much more dificult than today games, only 4 lives and 3 continues , no save game or pasword , the lobster boss was so dam dificult , i remember geting lost looking for the level 6 entrance

  • Yeah, they changed the story around for the American release. It was supposed to be a space / alien kind of thing. The whole frog thing was completely made up!

  • I never understood why he risked life an limb for some amphibian. It's a frog, kid; let it go. They cost like five bucks at the pet store.

  • There are plenty of kids who didn't risk their lives for a frog. This isn't their story.

  • HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!

  • @sabrejack2

    LOL!!! Good one dude!

  • @sabrejack2 That's probably the funniest youtube comment I've ever seen. Granted, I'm a nerd, but still, well done.

  • @sabrejack2

Yep I would have said, "fuck it ill just get another frog"

  • @Kbonefan Sure, but would it be an awesome mutated beast of a frog.. you just can't buy good mutants these days.

  • @sabrejack2 im sorry but what are you referring to? is it from the game :P i never played it so im pretty clueless

  • @dbzelda123 yes. the opening animation sequence shows him chasing his frog into a cave and then down a hole, where he finds the vehicle you see in the video, called Sofia III.

  • i ALWAYS remember the start music

  • i love teh second song

  • God, i love this game. I still play it today, thanx to wonderful emulators :) That last level..creeps me out :P

  • You guys remember the grenade-pause-kill glitch you could use at 2:11? :D

  • 1:54 always reminded me of Airwolf

  • Wow does this bring back the memories. I remember listening to and loving that simple opening theme so many times. Awesome!

  • LOOOOVE THIS!!!!!

  • This game is my favorite game of all time, I been trying to find MP3's of th stages. The best music ever!!! Stage 6 & 7Especially.

  • There was an MP3 floating around of a remixed version of Level 7 music. Anyone got it? It was well done.

  • Hell yeah I remember this game!

  • man, fuck that frog

  • I remember this one. tough game, but cool music. Sunsoft and Konami always had the best music on the NES

  • Game is a classic. I can usually beat it if I can get past the damn crab boss of Area 5. He's a cakewalk with full gun power. But getting to him with the full gun power is also hard.

  • I like this game so much hehe I remember I was a kid playing it. Cool music, someone should make it with live guitar, piano and all that

  • That's one thing sunsoft was know for catchy music for the games, that they released on the nes/famicom.

  • those things in the water around 1:13 look like metroids

  • Stage 4 and 7 have fucking awesome music.

  • The music on 3:21 was my favorite. I had to get this emulated so my video card would play this faster.

  • si blaster rulez ojala sacara un remake de este juegaso del nes y la primera cancion es de las mejores que he escuchado en mi vida

  • my favorite NES game ever....bought this with birthday money brand new in 5th grade.....classic!!! Too bad Sunsoft is gone :(

  • You have to give Sunsoft credit--they had some real gems in their time in terms of both music & gameplay...even if the boss screens were all the same.

  • all i remember about this game that it made me feel sick when i played it, as a kid of course. @_@

  • Great concept and music, but the game was just too hard, you can't expect kids to actually finish it.

  • i did lol..when i was 6 or 7

  • Congradulations 0_0

I think I made it too the third level or so before I stopped.

Now that I think about it, the story was pretty silly. Kid's frog hits a radioactive chest, turns giant and terrorizes underground, so kid finds a super-vehicle to save the day?

    <
