  • u mum is stupid

  • Shit film, and a short-hand version of the actual full version.

  • @yofashizzle123

it is possible, the reson things grow is because of oxygen. Thats why in the in the carbonniferious times. millipedes grew into the size of a man because there was double the oxygen. As it grew it would take in more oxygen growing larger.

  • this song reminds me of Ghostbusters

  • Slusho! xD

  • fuck vids

  • Your right this composition has all kinds of moody passages that would be perfect to set the tone of a movie. Having never had the pleasure of screening Cloverdale I can't say if it is the right soundtrack for that movie. Giacchino kind of reminds me of a Morricone, or a Poledouris spaghetti western soundtracks.

The Italians have a heritage in opera and music produced for theater. This probably isn't the first soundtrack produced by Giacchino.

  • Cloverture?

  • Has anyone else noticed whatever you talk about on a video these days someone is comparing it to Final Fantasy? Nice song btw. Thanks for uploading.

  • The whale version reminds me of Sin from FFX

  • #:24 is that i think is not the real camera because i saw the making of it and they used a bigger not hand held looking camera

  • did u know the monster is a baby and its screams a really cries for its mother

  • Slusho?

  • awesome movie they made it look so damn real

  • @MegaCrispyChicken I had nightmares the night I saw the movie >.<

  • nector is an ingrediant taht goes into slusho and you can only find necot at the bottom of the ocean and those Parasites from cloverfield ate the nector if you can watch cloverfield and when they are inside the militery tent if you look at the parasites mouth you can see orange gooy stuff which is the nector

  • where is the movie at???

  • They cut the press conference scene out where Obama planed to drop 1 trillion dollars on it to make it go away. They figured that people would loose hope in the non-fiction plan of attack that basicly does the same thing.

  • Lern to PhiniSh Yur sentAnsses buisy guy.

  • Which sentence did I not finish? My first comment of "Learn to spell"? Well... my bad then.

  • Calm down, I'm only fucking with you! It's OK to have bad grammer in Youtube...The Blacks and Russians get by just fine!

  • HELL YEAH!! I dnot crae aobout my graammer on teh internetz (lol i only typed like that for this comment)

  • ...uhhh, whats this even about???

  • a monster from space (im not kidding, thats was from the description on Fandango)

  • It's not from space. All information points to the monster simply being a weird deep sea creature that somehow managed to go unnoticed for centuries.

  • newborn

    hence why it was unnoticed

  • host is south korean, not north mmpretty sure.

  • okay..Blair Witch was a novel approach. Bit ti's been done. what makes a good scary movie is how it can be somehow believable. But thisi " I carry a cam like it's my baby and will even film my own death for you" crap is just that...less believable than the damn monster! Make the sequel. But by golly if it's filmed from some bloke's pocket cam view, I won't even put it in my netflix queue.

  • UR SOOOOO RIGHT

  • This really sounds like an old Toho theme!

    luv ittt xx

  • then Mikey Giacchino was successful in his homage.

I thoroughly though Toho when I heard this in theaters...my hat is off to Michael for this amazing tribute.

  • I want to know what happens when the Taraguto oil station got attacked.

Seriously, it's obvious the monster caused that, and theres another one in the japanese novel. Thats probaly three different monsters.

  • I thought the baby was the one who attacked because the mineing company was the one who was mineing for something for a drink?? and the mom i dunno probably thought her baby was following her.... i dont know that much havent seen the movie but i want to so bad!!

  • the story is they were in a deep sleep underwater, then a satellite fell from the sky (you can see it hit the water in the distance at the end) and it woke em up, yeah, they were pretty pissed

  • if i said to you GoT, does that mean anything?

  • Uuuh no, sorry D:

  • nah, im pretty sure they are from another planet and that was an egg that fell to earth after loosing its parents.

  • 2:46 dunkin dounut in back ground

  • Sounds very reminiscent of the stuff from Japanese Godzilla movies, but with more full-bodied an orchestration. Sure I'm not the first to notice this.

CLEVER captions, Volvagia. What do YOU think will be in the sequal?

  • whoa.... ur right! except that i would much prefer to watch an old godzilla movie... thats all cloverfield did for me... it made me want to watch a REALLY GOOD monster movie

  • Giacchino should push for executives to release this on CD (maybe as a bonus track for Star Trek). C'mon Abrams!

  • this isn't the full version. the full version is twelve minutes and seventeen seconds long. I have the REAL full version on my iPod

  • That is nice, but I wish for you to note the date. This is a recording of the song as present in the credits after the movie. At the time, the only other version had a bunch of kids mocking the opera style vocalizations.

  • @Volvagia70364 Very nice quality for the time though.

  • @stickbBOB Agreed, this guy is full of shit, and the recording is even more fucking terrible.

  • @stickbBOB could send me the real video plz

  • My god I need to find the un-fucked up version of this song like NOW!!! ; ;

    *rapes Google for it*

  • omg why was cloverfield pissed i no the mom is looking for her baby and that but why it was pissed

  • Because the cloverfield mother lived in the ocean, and the Hubbel telescope fell out of the sky in the ocean and she was near by. I'm guessing this scared the baby, the baby ran off, and THAN the mother got SUPER pissed. She only attacked the city to look for its baby.

  • how did you find that out???? i didnt know that

  • he either made it up or is retarded.from the an interview "As part of the viral marketing campaign, it is explained that the splash is made by a satellite crashing into the ocean. The satellite was owned by the Tagruato corporation, which has been harvesting one of the ingredients of its patented "Slusho" beverage from the ocean floor, which possibly drew the attention of the Clover creature."

The creature in the movie is only a baby, and is scared, which explains why it goes on a rampage.

  • That WAS the baby, tearing up the city scared, lost and crying out for its mother :/

I can`t imagine how big the mother is, i doubt we`d have anything to kill it.

  • There's no evidence, aside from people's guessing it, that that is true

  • Word of Abrams states this as the creature's reason for attacking.

  • What are you talking about?

  • I love this song and the movie was great!

  • i read the japanese comic and the monster is worshipped by this weird cult and there is this boy called kishin who can control the monster. the monster goes back into the sea laying hundreds of eggs.

  • This song multiplied how amazed I was at the end of the movie by 3

  • Apparently, if you happened to actually NOTICE the object falling from the sky in the scene where they are in the ferris wheel, it turns out it was not the monster, but a satellite. It fell into the ocean, and awakened the monster. So here's my theory- Clover is just some THING that came from the ocean, or an alien who fell in years ago, leading to his large size.

  • @yofashizzle123 J.J. Abrams said it was some type of prehistoric monster that fell into a deep sleep under the ocean, and when the monster, actually a baby, wakes up, it notices its new environment but does not see its mother, leading to its rampage of destruction in the nearest city, New York

  • @yofashizzle123

But JJ abrams has stated many times The monster Is A BABY

that means it can get much much bigger

  • @dragonofdark727 my comment is 8 months late but who cares, yeah your right about there being a baby, but did you notice that they were actually two monsters, one was the baby, and the other its mother searching for her baby. and i SO hope they make a sequel, we need to know what happened to it, the "hammerdown" protocol didn't kill it, so what will!?

  • @yofashizzle123 yep. sucks that not alot of people know that. thats why the army were already there, cause they knew somthing was awakend by it.

  • @yofashizzle123 they said he was just a baby

  • clovers mom must be real pissed!

  • Now imagine its dad. LOL

  • OMG dont hurt my f***ing son!lol

  • this is some creepy music

  • It couldn't have been a nuke because if it was then the camera would have melted or something, and the government would not have gotten the footage. Even if it was a noke, and the camera somehow survived, they wouldn't have been able to get it because of fallout.

  • they dropped MOAB (mother of all bombs) its the most powerful non-nuclear bomb we have

  • evidently they dropped an ICBM on it. Inter Continetial Balistic Missile. According to one of the directors anyways. They all disagree. But they all say that Beth and Rob died, along with the monster.

  • Really? Mind providing a link please?

  • You might want to write this down... WIKIPEDIA

  • Went to the cloverfield wiki article. No search hits for the words "nuclear," "dead," "ICBM," or "missile."

You are not the first one to have made those claims, and all the ones prior turned out to be BS. So forgive me if I ask you to explicitly state your source for saying this.

So I will ask again, link?

  • aight you caught me on the ICBM ;D. but when i read wikipedia it said the directors stated the monster was killed in... im not entirley sure on what it was attack. and it said that beth and rob did not survive. if it is BS, its not my BS. its whoever posted it on wikipedia's BS. or whoever posted the sourse infos BS.

  • Well, this is commonly known, but, the audio at the end of the credits played backwards clearly says "It's still alive". No idea who said it, or anything, but it intruiges me. It's pretty common on YouTube

  • The cloverfeild monster doesnt die since they are doing another veiw, when beth and rob die, it goes onto another guy with a camera, filming it apparently the same way they did

  • Or maybe it's the same incident from another POV

besides i thought it was a MOAB they dropped. An ICBM would have destroyed more than just central park.

  • we dont know if it's dad.

at the end it says initiating hammerdown.

after the credits we hear: It's still alive.

but due to the fact that the camera's still online, hammerdown has not been done yet at that point of time

  • Well screw fiction. They're just discussing the movie, probably cause they think it's interesting! I love talking about it. I also loved the movie, hence mah name.

    So did Beth and Rob really die? Or is there a possibility that they lived? o.o;

  • lol unless they can survive a blast from a MOAB(mother of all bombs) or an nuclear bomb then yes they lived.

  • omg dude volvagia....

    Zelda and Cloverfield

    You're Awesome

  • Nico Bellic wasn't scared.

  • America has 20 of them, could have used a couple.

OR Russia came in and helped with the FOAB lol.

  • it was most likey a MOAB, doubt they would nuke the area

  • I would like to note that the soldier said they were willing to "let the entire manhattan area go." Manhattan is miles in diameter. Besides that MOAB has 10% of the blast radius of the worlds smallest nuclear weapon. At the end when they're under the bridge you can hear the creature in the distance. Considering evidence from the rest of the movie I'd say the creature was not within 500ft of them. MOAB has a blast radius or 400-800 ft depending on it's deployment.

  • If it wasn't a nuclear bomb, then what was it? They said if you can hear the siren your in the blast radius. Most "sirens" used in the united states have a range of 10 miles. Nothing besides a nuclear weapon has such a large blast radius.

  • It wasn't a nuke first of all no nukes on American soil ever second of all the electromagnetic pulse let off by the nuke would have erased the tape. And second of all if it was a nuke then when they were under the bridge they would be disintegrated nothing would fall on them. They would just be gone.

  • they dropped a MOAB(mother of all bombs) its the most powerful non nuclear bomb the military has

  • lol at 2:40 dunkin donuts.

  • lol at 8:30

    "that's it? that's gay"

that was my exactly my reaction to the "ending secret" thing

this music made the whole thing worth it tho

  • Link Down??

  • This is an off the chain and Ill track indeed.

  • lol, I like to pretend the opera singer in this is the monster singing.

  • I remember around this time last year cloverfield was all over youtube. THey were proving false sights and ethan has was right was something. And people thought it was godzilla and some people thought it was even power rangers. They were comparing the sounds of the things on power rangers and stuff. They thought since they were saying, Wheres jason that it was a power ranger. Then scripts were alledgedly found online but turned out to be fake. an last at xmas someone said they saw a screening.

  • overture kicks ass...godzilla japanese style with american twist!!!!!!!!

  • er... the monster was carpet bombed by a b2 stealth bomber, but it just didn't die. though you are right to say the monster wasn't nuked.

  • amazing overture, btw THANK YOU for clarifying there was no nuke attack on the monster, its driving me crazy... everyone thinks IM mental for saying there wasnt!

  • this song on credits

  • omg this is best song i have ever heard

  • it was because of this song that i stayed for the credits.

  • Damn this song is like crack!!! X.X

  • give me ur e-mail and i can send it to u

    !!

    XD

  • That is one hell of a overture.

  • well i actually downloaded the full version from limewire!! i can sent it if someone wants it

  • omg send it to me!!!!

  • Please send it to me!

  • The full version is on iTunes now. Go buy it!

  • I can't find it. I assume it's under the name of Michael Giacchino and probably Roar or Cloverfield?

  • This is awesome and I agree it does give it that oh my god the monster's comming feel to it. I'm making it a blockbuster night this weekend and renting this movie.

  • lol 3:01 i saw dunken donuts lol

  • I love this.Could listen to it all the time and never get tired of it.

  • Wow this song has got a "Oh God it's coming" kind of tune. Awesomely chilling.

  • at 6:59 it looks like a tri pod from war of the worlds lol.

  • nah.

world of doom is 100% right.

    Taqruato is a evil company.

there is a Manga side story for Cloverfield called... Cloverfield/Kishin

  • thank you :)

  • I am glad they cut the whale.

  • no no, slusho is the company rob was going to work for and a parent company Taqruato which is an japanese oil company one of their satelites fell out of orbit and crashed into the atlantic hitting the egg of the monster which awakened it then the monster ran around looking for its mother.

  • If this monster was just born how come there was loada babys comin out of it ?? and it was far too big and long comin out of the sky to be a satalite !!

  • those are not babies, that was lice

  • anyone know where we could watch the real movie on here

  • someone toll me what shusho has something to do with this movie?

  • Slusho (or Seabed's Nectar) is what is believed to have changed the Monster into what he is in the film.

  • lol dunkin' donuts is still open during the attack.

  • This movie looks awsome!

  • I liked Cloverfield but I felt let down. It's basically just a giant face hugger from the Alien Franchise. I was hoping for something more original but I still have watched it four times so far and enjoy it every time. Just wished the envelope had been pushed further so to speak.

  • i think it was good that this was only at the end, it is a great song but it would talk away from the realistic feel that the movie created if you hear music in the background and you can not place where it is coming from(and that when the people move to another location the music follows them)

  • The reason it was only in the credits was that it would be... incredibly unbelievable if it actually found a way into the movie.

  • This isn't the full version. The full version runs a little over 12 minutes, and is currently available to buy via iTunes(added April 29th).

  • to EvanVolm,

i cant find it on iTunes. did they take it off?

  • Hmm. It appears they have. I'll send you a message with a link to download it.

  • thanks evan :)

  • No problemo.

  • yes they have taken it off Itunes for some reason.

  • they put it back on

  • yea for some reason

  • I like it. We finally made a good monster movie that doesnt have a pussy iguana runing around in New York.

  • I totally agree with you. I hated all american-made monster movies before Cloverfield. King Kong sucked because it took place in 1930s and KK got his butt kicked by a plane. The american Godzilla film was very stupid. It made Godzilla into a guy-girl and was weaker than a giant ant!

  • I dont know if I like it.. It sounds too much like the old Godzilla movies.

  • That was the point. Like it or GTFO.
