  • As an American, you sound Canadian, if anything; at the very least someone would think you had an odd and a non-uniform tonal inflection

  • I feel as if you're interpretation of American speech is too based on pop culture. Not to say that you're not close, you're American accent is actually very good. Perhaps if this video showed some portrayal of the accent that represents an everyday conversation, or non-pop culture based speech, you go could more efficaciously prove your argument.

  • uh, not all of us are valley girls.

  • Being an American teenage girl I am offended I have a very good vocabulary and do not speak like that at all

  • im a bit offended.....but very good malibu sissy girl..im from california too but do not sound like that! [like, OMG!]

  • hahahaha,.. i love how everyone thinks were stupid, stuck up, snobby, slutty, disgraced, blonde bitches

  • just be fat broke dumb and creationist and ull do fine

  • if you were trying to achieve the "dumb blonde" stereotype, well done.... however, that is all it is.. a stereotype. For you supposedly being so intellegent, you needed to do a little more homework missy.

  • No one in America talks like that. I'm offended you're talking like a California valley girl. Like seriously I'd that what you think American girls are like?

  • foreigners think our females are stupid :( Well they kind of are.

  • Yea she sounds like elle woods off of legally blond people only talk like that really in movies . not bad tho just lose a little bit of the stereotype American and calm down but im sure if i tried a British accent i would get laughed at by EVERYONE lol so I'm not knocking you down or anything. Just trying to help :)

  • No one talks like that in America .... just saying

  • You are stupid, haha. I'm American, I'm a teenager and I don't speak like a fucking retard.

  • pretty good actually

  • that doesn't even sound like an American accent lol if I heard someone speaking that way I would know immediately it is fake.

  • i don't understand why people didn't like this more, its so funny :D

  • okay that's how preppy people talk. people that are not preppy sound nothing like that. you're just overexaggerating the accent.

  • why does everyone do the valley girl accent ?

  • sound exactly like a gringa lmao god job !

  • ur ugly, lol

  • ummm, we don't talk like that..

  • You were a 2 when the video started but once the wig went on you went to a 4. Maybe it was the accent? xD

  • no offense but maybe you shouldn't try so hard, try more natural :)

  • Please don't try to sound like an American! So many of us are dumb and illiterate! It's sad, really. I know sounding educated (accent) does not really mean you really are, so if you are educated the best thing to do is just show it by being sensitive to those around you.

  • I'm blonde and it's not "blondes" who speak like that, I know plenty of brunettes, girls with black hair, and redheads that speak just as stupid. Hair color has nothing to do with intelligence. People need to stop stereotyping.

  • @EpicRimaChan I'm blonde and it's not "blondes" who speak like that, I know plenty of brunettes, girls with black hair, and redheads that speak just as stupid. Hair color has nothing to do with intelligence. People need to stop stereotyping.

  • pretty good. maybe exagerate it a bit more. but at the same time, no one really talks like that haha. I wouldn't say it's a more advanced vocabulary (although some may argue it is) it's just that americans and britains just have a different vocabulary, different slang and so on

  • to be honest that SUCKED nothing like any american would speak, EVEN the dumb blonde ones sound better than that

  • You would have hit the nail on the head except you lacked sufficient arrogance and at the end of every word with a long o you sound British

  • you sound like an american! but, u sound nerdy, no offense lol

  • It's pretty good but it almost sounds a little bit Canadian lol. But other than that good!

  • ....Eh.

  • Hahah she sounds like Sarah Palin!!!

  • If you were to speak to me in your American accent, I would simply believe that you prefer to use proper English, as opposed to the common overuse of slang. Seeing as some Americans do, in fact, have the IQ of a tea cozy, you may find it more affective to use relatively simple English around such individuals.

  • More advanced vocabulary? That stings a bit. What makes you think that? That's an awful stereotype.

  • Yea, your clearly not american

  • The accent is highly dependent on the individual. I'm American, thou I tend to speak either in monotone or some guttural sounding accent that my great grandmother has.

  • I think it's not fair that British people think that Americans are all stupid. BTW you don't really sound american

  • Yeah, that's pretty much us.

  • That didn't sound American, sounded like someone pretending to be American.

  • ahaha it sounds like a normal American trying to do a valley girl accent.

  • wow... is this how girls are portrayed in the media? they'd b a lot more annoying if they acted like this lol

  • american accents have more of a continuous one pitched tone and you havent gotten rid of the up beat tone and rythym that comes with your english accent, so you kind of end up sounding arrogant and snooty :/ try to relax your voice and be less literate

  • ALMOST american sounding in the blonde wig. You still have a clear "British" accent. For an american accent, you have to choose where in the country the accent is from. Whether it's a new york accent, a southern drawl, or anywhere else. You're doing good so far though.

  • =_= I'm really offended. ):

  • you watch way to many blonde chick movies thats not how all teenage girls sound like

  • your "blonde girl" is really really 80's. lol try a more modern accent :]

oh and try to slur your words a little better, cause we americans dont really sepparate our words much. :]

  • Brilliant. I hope you study acting. Great eye brows!

  • That is such a stereotype about Americans it's not even funny..not all americans talk like that, actually not many people that are american speak like that at all, except for the girls that like to say "like" all of the time...so yeah, as an American that was a little bit offensive. But other than that your American accent was pretty good!!

  • My vocabulary dwarfs yours and I am an American. I would not imagine all brits drink tea daily, don't imagine all Americans are stupid. Some of the most brilliant minds on earth reside in north America. I didn't even finish watching his video due to the offensive content in the beginning. Congratulations

  • i dont think you friends helping u for, one you dont ever sound like an american doin that you like a snobby white girl off of a chick flick in america. AN to when dont talk like tht we talk with slang an american accent it hard to learn but you do have the white chick thing dont lol but i wouldnt do it again!!!

  • American teenage girls aren't that much of airheads and we don't wine about the simplest things. Also, even though the stereotype is well known, we don't use like after every word. We use it as space fillers once in a while when we are having difficulty finding words to express how we feel.

  • Your accent sounded great. It kinda made your British accent sound fake.

  • Seriously?

  • Haha I'm American! Great accent! I don't know anyone personally who speaks like a bimbo, but it was good!

  • Educated american women? Never, much more believable when you talk with all the "like"s. sadly there really are more idiots in the states than not.

  • You did pretty good, even though like 1% of Americans actually speak like that haha.just try watching videos of actual American accents on YouTube and you'll understand the real thing and not the sterotype :)

  • the accent is okay, most teens wouldn't be THAT valley girlish especially if they are from places where valley girls are not common, try and work on putting less "likes and omgs' and just concentrate on the pronounciation of things like Rs and Os and stuff.

  • ok You sound like a really snobby stuck up american and most people dont like those kind of people lol but its really good :)

  • RUBBISH FOCKIN SNOB!

  • Umm...I live in California. There is no way in HELL that I sound like that. *sigh* I'm so annoyed that people are very ignorant and don't understand that not ALL AMERICANS SOUND LIKE THAT. In fact, there are very few people who sound that way.

  • It's not your accent or your vocabulary that gives you away, it's the uncultured, rude, and stereotypical impression of blonde, American women. Too bad you're not doing anything to rise against the perpetuated stereotype of arrogant, prickish, and condescending nature of all British natives!

    I'm sure you're a lovely girl though.

  • hahaha! great job! lol but you do sound like a snobby american chick from a movie lol :) but other than that you do sound very american :)

  • I don't care what anyone says you sound good with any accent.

Also, you look hot with the blonde wig. ;)

  • Okay. So like only the stupid snobs talk like that and just because your blonde doesn't mean you have to talk like that but yeah.

  • You sound like a Nerd. You "Dim-Wit" and You need to Stop watching Mean Girls.Wannabe.

  • That was almost offensive... And I live in friken California, capitol of drama-crazed-self-centered teenage girls

  • Yeah, but your accents isn't "flawless" like you think. You inflect your voice too much. But the words that you used were entirely correct. Good job.

  • Even though the teenage girl accent was VERY stereotypical, you need a good job of a California girl impersonating someone from Clueless.

  • I'm from Louisiana so...the only time I hear girls talk like that are in movies

  • no one really talks like that in america, not even snobby americans. They do in the movies a lot and occasionally there are a few who talk a little valley, but not this badly. America has a variety of accents depending on what state you go to.

  • It's the overuse of slang that really differentiates Americans from Britons.

  • We don't talk like that.. that's just a snobby.. bitchy accent. There's the Jersey Accent, the Chicago Accent. The southern accent, the northern accent. Learn all of em, instead of the worst. You're trying to insult us, ya bitch. >_>

  • It's like an 80's American, with that wig and the language you use.

  • ...I'm in love...

  • your voice goes right through me >.<

  • do you get bullied at school >.<

  • You are pretty good; but I can still hear the underlying english :3

  • Are you aware that all Americans dont speak like that places like the South (Where I live and from) Nobody naturally there speaks like that lol...Mid West sound kind of like the south but else where dont really have accents.

  • you make me want to punch a baby

  • It's not that your American accent is bad, it's that you're intensely annoying.

  • You. Sound. Like. A. Valley. Girl. WE HATE VALLEY GIRLS. I'm insulted by this. Most teenage girls in the US do not speak like this. Appreciate you trying though. :]

  • okay, without the wig, you sound like a weird ass book worm, and with it, just a fuckin' weird/fake/mentally retarded person. bottom line.

  • I've been to America and girls do not talk like that. Not in the eastern states, at least.

  • U CAN TOTALLY NOT SPEAK AMERICAN!

IM AMERICAN AND U JUST SOUND LIKE A BRITISH GIRL WITH A STROKE!!!

  • Accent is fine but your English pitch makes you sound like a snobby ,nerdy, up-tight American...

Sorry my tiny vocabulary creates a barrier across my brain when I speak, I'd try to help but my brain is much to small to form English words, sorry.

  • umm, i feel kind of insulted. i'm an american, a teenager, and i'm blonde. but i don't speak ANYTHING like that; very few people do. as other people say, you watch too many movies. but then again, a lot of american's think people with british accents are all prim and proper and have tea parties all the time.. which i know isn't true (in most cases..?). stereotypes are ruining what we think of each other.. oh well. not much we can realy do about it?

  • you are right not all Americans talk like this, in fact most dont haha. But good job it was a pretty good portrayal of an American stereotype.

  • You're a total bitch.

  • sounds like you have a retainer in your mouth the whole time

  • As an American myself, It was on okay accent, but you speak with the infamous "valley girl" accent. MOST AMERICANS DO NOT SPEAK LIKE THAT. Plus you go back and forth between an American and British accent in your video.

  • haha not american at all. I have never heard anyone speak that way in my life. Oh and your vocabulary isnt higher you just pronouce words quickly. I would suggest talking slower.

  • @EpicRimaChan

I'm blonde and I don't talk like that.

A stupid brunette would talk like that too.

  • You're saying your Rs and Ls way too hard.

  • The first 30 seconds were more convincing than the valley girl thing

  • HAHA. Great job. That's pretty confincing. Good job.

  • i didnt take offense to this but i am blonde but im not stupid nor do i talk like a snobby brat. and the first part was more beleivable rather then about halfway through

  • Thank you so much for this! I am a 19 year old american and I don't speak like that in any way. My friends do not speak like that either. But it is true that stupid blondes are portrayed like that.... :(

  • You're terrible.

  • Well sadly, having a smaller vocabulary does make you sound native. I am ashamed of my nationality.

  • woooo you need to sort those brows out ...btw fake english accent too !

  • that's queen's english kkkkkk

  • Your American accent is adequate. I do think you need to speak somewhat faster to become more convincing, though. And no, I do not think the version of you with unattractive blonde hair sounds any better. I am American, and I too, think that people here tend to speak with broken English and incorrect forms of proper dialect.

  • why do all british people think americans act like that. i am american and i donn't know anyone that talks like that. and also we usually make fun of that stereotype ourselves so why don't you try a really one. and by the way what type were you trying to do, a midwestern, southern, California / LA, the typical New York, etc.

  • no one really talking like the dumb blond..... We americans make fun of that stereotype. And your first one is better but the certain way you draw you words out gives you away.

  • How is it hard to talk with an American accent...? I don't get it....

  • twat

  • @Brandon112878 Agreed. Although there may be grains of truth within stereotypes, I have many friends who speak "proper" English. I myself try and use my imagination to fuel a creative vocabulary that doesn't use the words that inflame negative reaction. I also recognize in the art of language, there are instances when only a "cuss" word can drive the point home. My teachers from Kindergarten to University spoke great English and expected the same from us.

  • I'm blonde, Thank you very much. And, i'm EXTREMELY intelligent..

I'm proud, to be a Teenage American girl. Thank you very much!

  • America!

  • youre retarded. shut up.

  • Okkk, well I'm American when you were doing your thing I kept thinking to myself.. not all of us do that. Also your whole thing about blondes, I know tons of blondes they are nothing like that. One more thing I know no one who says something like that with their 'friend.'

  • ahahahahahha......everytime a british girl does an american accent they immediately go to the 'valley-girl' routine. that was in the 1980's. i think one unique thing about the american accent is that our dialect evolves over time. we don't speak ANYTHING like we did 30 years ago. and the farther you go back the more pronounced that fact is. the more videos i see on here just reinforce that i can tell its not legit because its out-dated.

  • I didn't notice any difficult words coming from her. In college I took a vocabulary building class. She didn't say any of those words. Maybe (perhaps for you Brits) Brits sometimes have a feather up their a**es. (ar*e for you Brits.)

  • I didn't notice any difficult words coming from her. In college I took a vocabulary building class. She didn't say any of those words. Maybe (perhaps for you Brits) Brits sometimes have a feather up their a**es. (arse for you Brits.)

  • you let the brit accent slip a bit sometimes but its pretty good. ps at first you sounded nerdy, and in america we stone nerds so dont come here speaking like that

  • Americans don't talk with there noses. I notice that English people talk more throgh their noses. Very entertaining

  • as many of you have stated in these comment's below not all American's talk like that. Well it's the same with English people we don't all have giant teeth and not all of us like tea...

  • your regular accent it annoying as fuck

  • @mikutch Yeah, I suppose she has been watching too many Hollywood movies like Legally Blond, Mean Girls and Hot Chicks.

  • You do quite well, truth be told. Inflection was correct despite the wide emotional gamut dictated by the diagnostic content, which suggests a good command of the regional accent you're using.

  • Your American mate. No english person talks THAT posh.

  • you have a crappy british accent in my opinion

  • You sound like a snobby cheerleader (I'm not against cheerleaders- I have cheerleader friends).

  • it's kind of annoying how imitations of American accents always end up being more of "spoiled stupid bitch" accents, or "extreme southern" accents.

  • i ithink you did a very good american accent In England slang is slang...in America slang is part of the language.

  • If you talked like that here, you would totally get the shit kicked out of you, and deservedly so.

  • HEY HEY HEY I'm Canadian, and we do NOT talk like that, so STFU.

We're not as posh as the British, but not as slurry as some Americans. But not like this beyotch.

  • You enunciate too much, you sound like a real asshole to be honest. you need to slur more

  • Not all blondes are fucking bimbos, fuck off with your stupid impressions and leave US girls alone.

  • This is less an American accent so much as an American type, the overly consumer minded superficial prissy rich girl. And yes, they do actually act like that.

  • haha, im american, an while the snobby blonde stereotypical accent was a bit offensive, it was a good try :) most non-americans try to sound like they're hillbillies when they do an american accent. i think what your friend meant about your advanced vocabulary was that it would give you away because you wouldnt use american slang. Also not ALL americans speak like that, but yes it is a stereotype seen in many (if not, MOST) movies produced these days in hollywood. i really enjoyed this video! :)

  • Advanced vocabulary? Really? Who ever said that an American accent is synonymous with having a low IQ? As a recall, the highest IQ ever recorded is from an American woman in Maine. Talk about perpetuating stereotypes, you're really not helping the "snobby, uptight British" stereotype at all. Get off your high horse and, I'm putting this in layman's terms since being American obviously makes me unqualified to have an extensive vocabulary, stop being a complete bitch and fuck off. :)

  • This is hilarious! :)

  • you watch too much reality tv.

  • the land mine vowels for natives of the British Isles trying to do American are the "a" in "call" and "I" in stereot-I-pe...you did well overall despite a couple glaring falters.

  • You kind of stress at the end of words, putting a bit to much into it. Don't try to hard, but don't give away anything that would make you sound British. and the way that you're talking makes you sound like those stereotypical rich, spoiled blonde girls. but on the other hand, don't try to sound like a redneck American. ..And....what's a tea cozy?

  • I think your accent is actually quite good. Being a 15 year old American with quite a big vocabulary myself I don't see how that could give you away in the slightest. I think your portrayal of the average American girl isn't too far off the mark, actually. I really enjoyed watching this! It makes me smile because my friends and I do our English accents we always tend to become quite snobbish...It is comforting to know that we all stereotype each other across the pond. I like your American accent

  • You are sure that the "educated, intelligent, well-cultured" women are out there?

You make us sound like a dying species lol

  • Your accent is terrible I could pick You out as a non American.

  • Only blonde bimbos talk like that but you accent is accually pretty good

  • if you come to america and speak like that... chances are you will get made fun of.... just saying...

  • You pause slightly longer then needed. Your words don't flow with a natural patern and seem to be had picked in advance, though that is most likely true

  • what a actress !! i like your video ! you're very funny

  • pretty sure only like 1,000 people in america speak like that. stereotypes!!!!! im american and DO NOT speak like that.....im intelligent, well spoken and well cultured! suck on that

  • Nice eyebrows. lol

  • I like your blonde bimbo stereotype...but please to god, don't say "laterss" ever again. In addition never say "like" again. That's just creeper status right there. But coming from an american, your accent isn't horrible.

  • you sound like a snobby brit with a crappy american accent that Stop watching tv.

  • ur posh when your not trying an amercian accent

  • Whahaha funny as f***

  • i hate the fact that everyone who doesnt live in america thinks americans are dumb. we are not. the people who are dumb usually act it. or their just ARE. but your average american girl is someone who usually does good in school. WE ARNT BIMBOS. okay bye(:

  • you have watched the movie Clueless WAY to many times!!

  • I 'MERUHICAN I NO KNO HOW TALK ENGLISH CUZ VOCABULARARY 2 SMALL COMPAIRD TOO SMART BRITISH GURL DERRRRRRP

  • Have the people moaning noticed that she called it a "horrible and highly prejudice portrayal of a teenage American girl"?

  • @Brandon112878 you rock!!! AHAHAH :D

  • i just say it's ok but not really sound much american???

  • well....I am an American 1. that is a bad accent 2. that's offencive 3. NO AMERICAN SPEAKS LIKE THAT.

  • i just kept staring at your eyebrows O_O

  • even though that IS a total stereotype (one that even WE make fun of) it was a pretty good accent ;) good job

  • you do a stereotypical accent perfectly, but most americans find people who speak like that very shallow and annoying. You should try learning to imitate a more plain american accent, many people especially from the american midwest are considered to have "standard" american accents so you might want to try that

  • The second is more convincing but a bit dated, more like 80s movies teen girls. The first one is a little too over-articulated. It doesn't sound British just a bit odd, like over-acting.

  • HAHAHAHAHA, as an American, great job!!! i thought that was funny as hell

  • You sound like an absoult cunt bag, this is fucking terrible.

  • Your American accent is terrible and that imitation is insulting to Americans and we don't say like every other word

  • D; jerk!

  • ifu want to sound like someone from a 90's tv show.. you have it down. otherwise, most of us.. do not sound like that. if u need advice... i am all ears

  • Not all Americans sound like dumbasses from southern California, but you're pretty good at that one. And also, an advanced vocabulary means you have an advanced vocabulary, not that you are from outside of the U.S.

  • hahhaha this made me laugh!

    you are SO cool:)

  • your prep doesnt get to far in the horse stalls:p not tryin to be mean

  • Ok your pretty freaky and P.S. you have a vocab. of my nephew hes in 1st grade you sound like a snob in any language come to my house honey youll runaway your prep doesnt get to far in the horse stalls:p not tryin to be mean

  • umm not at all

  • cunt

  • My GOD. No. You sound a bit like Sarah Palin.. x)

  • As an American you brought out the very points that I was going to make. All Americans do not talk like the "blond, bimbo, preppy, teenaged girl". So many times I watch videos like this and that is the accent British people seem to imitate, but as you said, that is what Hollywood capitalize upon. Otherwise, your impersonation was dead on.

  • Very few Americans talk like that. There are many different accents in America. And I for one am offended. You sound like the rich stick up her butt British types.

  • Blonde hair, brown eyebrows.

    BURN IT

  • this was hilarious. we do NOT sound like that at all xD

  • ". . . rallying all intelligent Americans . . ." LMBBO! Your portrayal was not especially uncharitable; there are certain materialistic, silly, and probably lobotomized middle-class girls here in the US (particularly on the southern half of the West Coast) whose voices sound eerily similar to the one you used whilst wearing the blonde wig. I've always found the arbitrarily prolonged vowels and leapfrogging inflection (known as "California rising" by linguistics), like, tooootaly grating?

  • I'M INSULTED. BIIIIIIITCH
