That officer interviewing him was one of the most patient officers I've witnessed. This guy was just stupid. You answer some simple questions, they let you in, no hassle. You raise your voice at them and fail to answer simple questions, you'll be detained and denied entry. You'd crossing into a different country! They have every right to ask you what store you're going to shop at.. If you don't know, you answer "I don't know yet" simple as that. You don't say "WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT?"

This customs officer was way more patient than we were. and before u tell me it is different at the border, no it's not. It falls into federal law enforcement, which is a different animal than state or local. we can search you, and detain you til we're satisfied. we just choose not to, unless u act up.

Aside from a completely crazy escalation on their part, I specifically heard the supervisor ask if he was American, meaning does he have rights, do we need to be careful here? The driver answered each question to the best of his ability and it was clear that the agent was on a mission to prove a point even though he didn't really think he was a threat. when u are asked any questions by border agents u answer them! even if they are rude or ask in a mean way .... its their country not ours ... if your going shopping u say where, place, location, why and for what reason ... etc ...... theres no need 2 talk back

EVERYTIME i go to canada i get attitude from CA Customs agents.

these power tripping officers harrass innocent people while the people they should be arresting are walking right through......this should be on the local media stations. There are too many "officers" that go on power trips as soon as a tin badge is pinned on their chest. I deal with customs officers on both sides daily......there are 20bad ones for every good one on the us side and about 10 for every good canadian one. The us seems to think everyone is guilty..
