@karandex There is full source at my site, that should help you (link in description). This obviously designed for the arduino, but could easily be accomplished with an arduino too. Just get an arduino + an ethernet shield plus some solid state relays. Transistors would probably work too.
Nice work. I have Stamp micro experience but no real networking knowledge. How do you like the Netburner? Would you recommend it to networking novice?
@MJD595 It was okay. It's a pretty straight forward serial interface. Communicating with the Parallax propeller was a bit tricky. I'd probably be easier with an atmel device like an arduino. I'd recommend giving it a try. It works well.
We programmed a similar robot in class. We had to record actions and when we launched the operation pressing a key, it carried out the recorded commands.
very cool Jeremy. It would be awesome if you made something like this with those little electronic robots and had a website where people could sign up, pay and then control one of them for about 15 minutes and have battles with other people
yes, I actually tried it, but it stresses out the motors a bit to much. I need to find a smaller, lighter camera, which I haven't been able to do yet.
Hello...nice work...what did you use for embed the webcam? did you use only javascript?

mrjrountree 1 year ago
could you use it if a can of coke was out of your reach or is the claw to small ?
mrjrountree 1 year ago
@mrjrountree The motors are probably too weak to pick up a can of coke.

You should use some ajax, as reloading the page each time you click a control makes no sense. Other than that, pretty fun to play with!

I agree totally, and I've already written that. I'm still debugging though.

Maybe you could have something in Flash on the page to handle the video feed and control via keyboard presses.

Also, have you thought about mounting a secondary camera on the actual claw, to make controlling it easier?

Wow man, you have brains. First the nerf gun, now this? Whats next? lolz. You should start tutorials on how to do stuff like this.
