  • Keep your bands... don't lose it to soon... it will be great... and don't forget to play the solo according to timing... great job!

  • it's a little bit out of rythm ....

  • good man!please watch my cover too /watch?v=8U7TtK4MOec

  • U ve chosen the easy way to play it thats why the end of the solo was little dirty.

  • Very well played!

You've been playing for a long time, or what?

  • bends and vibrato

  • Cool, it sounds really great... after 4 years, you should post it again to see if it's still better !

    My version, youtube file: pUOS5QL8J28

  • I hate you man! In a good way! :)

  • The beginnning needs to be a little more "tight" but otherwise good job bro

  • Awesome work man!!!

  • Bueno, pero no veo sentimiento.

  • you can use your pinky you knoww :)

  • Very good !!!!!!!

  • no expression while playing!? weres the fucking excitement in that!! r u bored? have some passion dude! lok like you mean it! other wise it was good

  • man i dig ur guitar, nice playing aswell.

  • Decent job. Being helpful as the other poster says... work on your bends. You have a tendancy to over bend (beyond the note you are going for. Slow it down and practice where to stop your bends and you will get them down. Keep up the great work! :)

  • great job!

  • Good job!

  • Nice violin vibrato and sweeping :)

  • Good job! check out my version. I'm playin the (Epiphone) Zakk Custom Les Paul. I put the active EMG Zakk set in.

  • Yeah, your a sick guitarist, maybe try a massive harmonic at the end, and the bit before the end, try and make them more clean and it would sound radd :)

Keep up the good work man :D

    <3

  • awesome dude gibson custom or epiphoine? and devil horns for black sabbath shirt \m/

  • not so amazing bends...

  • very well done good sir.

    stop killing the heros.

  • not bad dude but the second to last set of licks is all double picking - no hammers or pull offs - it sounds completely different like that - took me forever to get up to speed on that picking part!

  • Very good.......

  • whoa.

  • great job

  • ZOMG the guy from "Heros" is jamin ;) GJ!

  • that was bad ass

  • pinky

  • Dude that was awesome man nice and smooth a few mistakes but hey man you did awesome and remember your not Zakk so .That rocked!!

  • great playing isnt the song in different tuning it sounded off im not insulting just consulting

  • song's in E flat, guitar is in E flat, anything off was my not so amazing bends

  • Very well done, man. Kudos! ppl that "hate' obviously don't play guitar. Much better than me so 5/5. Keep jammin!!

  • @neosonic66 Actually the song is in Drop D half step down. Which is basically Eb but with Drop D

  • @neosonic66 Im tryin to learn this and yeah the bends are the hardest part

  • FUCKING LOVE UR LES PAUL

  • amen

  • That couch looks comfortable.

  • @MisterShred LOL

  • awesome i had the same shirt but won of the maids at the hotel stole it when i used to live in a hotel

  • Very, very good!

  • Guess I'm just looking for something wrong, but looks like you are trying to hard, don't think as much and just play, still a great job though =).

  • you would have had to play like 9 hours a day for a touring band to play this without concentration

  • lol it was fine

  • excellent man! great playing

  • you're hearing the slide of my fingers down the neck...

  • Great job bro, but you need to put more heart and soul into the bends. then you will have ti down great.

  • u got emg 81 and 85s? in that beautiful guitar.

  • dude grea jobe man it took me about 2 dais to learn this...great job.

  • Great job man!! My wife has that same shirt..bought it at jc penny i think. ha ha. Anyways good job.

  • need to work on your bends

  • bending is bad

  • Nice job dude!!! Sounds good!!! Hit some dime solo's in the future, and good luck!!!

  • man, you look so bored.

search for something that you REALLY can play and have fun, cause in this one u almost sleeped :P

and nice job, 5/5, I really love it *-*

  • it's the result of like 30 takes, not being bored... it's frustration everyone is seeing :)

  • @neosonic66

Sometimes when I'm bored, I go around poking holes in peoples PB&J with my boner while wearing a Vulcan Warrior suit and reciting bible scriptures...

  • @DoyleCapone ... Yes... Yes.

  • @neosonic66 I liked it!!

  • very good job !!!!

  • Great job, you're really good.

  • damn nice guitar dude....

here is the link of my guitar cover of Crazy train....hope you like it XD

    watch?v=4ormfEdNNGI

  • he does look bored hahah

  • Damn nice job!! lol I've got the exact same shirt...

  • you look bored, good job though. XD

  • tuning and great job man

  • I got the shirt ^^

    Awesome playing

  • nice. if you switched to your neck pickup for the beginning it would sound amazing.

  • thats exactly my point you guys arent getting what I'm saying...one dude said it was simple soloing and another guy said it was insanely amazing blah blah blah, my point is, it is insanely amazing but its played using more basic soloing scales etc, it doesnt matter how anythings played as long as it sounds good is my point.

  • i'll agree with you there

  • it doesn't matter how it's played? are you insane? the way it's played makes all the difference between effort and just plain lazyness that's why some new guitarist modify their solos to sound good but it's realy bs.

this guy plays good, not insanely amaizing. he still needs more practice for his fourth finger to be better than average.

  • If he plays it fine without practice with his fourth finger then he does not need more practice with it. That was not the best ever, but that was better than average. Don't look at the technique. Listen...if he did that with out and fingers using his nose it would still be good.

  • good point, when I solo I play pretty much what I "feel", granted its in the right key etc.. but I'm not a note for note guy. I don't think it means I'm lazy. But I may interepet the song differently. And as long as the chord progression is the same people will notice the song. Play Loud/Play Proud!

    BTW Angus is great!

  • Sorry.. dont crack that smile. Randy is the only one.

  • sorry but is basic even zakk says that in the tutorial video, he said its just pentatonic patterns which is basic, and he also said just learn the pentatonic and you can play a damn solo hahahaha

  • who cares? yes it's pentatonic... I missed the part where everything has to be some bizarre scale or hard as hell to be worth to play....

  • umm, who cares?

you need to know the pentatonic scale if you expect to be considered good

  • No.. i'm saying who cares if it's a basic solo... like playing something that's basic somehow minimizes its inherent worth? No shit knowing the minor pentatonic is prerequisite to playing the guitar, I'm just annoyed by these people who try to swing by and invalidate your performances because something's not super hard to play...

  • Who said?

  • pretty well every musician, the pentatonic scale is the bass of all scales pretty much, it's a 5 note scale (hence the PENT)

  • You say you love angus young, damn he's one of the lazy guitarists. Ever played Thunderstruck intro? Thats 4 notes repeated several times with some shit at the end. My point is, it doesn't need to be fancy to sound good, so get over yourself and jump on i-tunes and listen to some real music.

  • sounds like the guitar may be a tad out of tune.. but its really an easy basic solo..

  • 0:53 ... no basic shit there man.. gotta practice a whooole lot !

  • D minor pentatonic basically

  • Thou Zakk Wylde himself says the solo is played in D Major

  • Kool shit.. do you have the tabs

  • Good notes; constructive criticism - develop your bends and vibrato - you're weak in that area.

  • This video's over 3 years ago, but yes, I totally agree with you

  • It's a tough area man - I know I'm not there!

  • i think it was pretty sweet !! well done due love that solo

  • I HAVE THE SAME SHIRT YOU HAVE ON NOW :D

  • a white les paul custom with emgs, a marshall head and a boss super overdrive... your really goin all out to get the zakk sound down arent ya :P

  • David Cook called, he wants his guitar back. lol

  • The bends could be better, but everything else is good.

  • i have that same shirt and also good job

  • nice job man

  • Pretty good solo man.

  • Be careful on your bends, your goin off pitch, the rest is good.

  • nice!!

  • googd job man good job but dude one ? why the hell did u change the pick up our of that guitar i mean it has gold hardware u should haveleft it alone the emgs dont look right in it active pickups r so shity

  • What tab did you use,and where can i find it?

    BTW,good job.

  • te pasas de la nota con los bends, no levantes tanto la cuerda tio

  • i got that shirt

  • Me too :)

  • lol, solos are hard when it comes to bending the string right on tune. great job though

  • a little out of time and the bends needs a little more study.. but it's almost perfect, congrats

  • IS this in Eb tuning?

  • Yeah its done a half step down and drop d

  • the low E string being dropped to D, or Db?

  • its Db bro!

  • Its Drop C

Tune ur guitar half step down, then tune the low Eb string to Db

  • that means its not c dude

  • really? Thats weird, i looked up drop c and thats what it told me to do. hehe.

So what tuning is the one i talked bout?

  • well drop c is 1 step down. so tuning 2 notes down which is 2 frets. for this song its just drop Db its half step down which is 1 note one fret and then drop the lowest string a whole step

  • alrigh, thx. Gonna be hard for me to tune that low cause im renting a guitar with a floyd rose hehe.

  • That's drop C# or drop Db

  • ya, or C#/Db standard, if you're changing the pitch of each string in relation to the sixth.

  • hey people one fret is half note distance, and if you calculate a litle then it is ok

or tun your guitar to drop C form a standard tuning by making the last string osund in octave with the c from the A string(third fret)...

  • nice job

  • nicely done bro

  • pretty good job.

  • Bends need a lot of work.

  • Pretty decent job. I would suggest working on your timing in the intro part of the solo. Some of the slow notes were noticeably off beat.

  • couple of the bends were slightly off, but all in all, great job!!!

  • hey dude coolsolo, but your doing acoustic vibratos man! bend the fuck out of that string like no tommorow

  • there is a thing called feeling when u play guitar...i make the most fucked up faces when recording...i try to hide them when playing gigs but its always there..some people dont show it much though...when i video tape myself playing at home i watch it wondering if something went wrong when my mother was pregnant :]

  • lmao yeah its scary sometimes if you cath yourself pulling faces in a mirror or something u just think "wtf am I doing??"

    lol

  • guitarsists are shocking for "talking" what they play without realising it, i must confess a couple of times ive caught myself even stopping breathing in an effort to hit all the right notes!!!

  • well done

  • Feeling, if you cant hum it you cant play it. If you sing the notes out loud and move while you play you loosen up your muscles and play better, if tense vibrato sucks, good job, there is no vibrato in this lead so you just play it!

  • T-shirt's not bad.

  • good but put in some FEELING. the bends and thing should be insanely vibratoed like wilde not bent with a straight face

  • There is no such thing as, "feeling." Do you really think guitarists will make such stupid fucking faces and dumb grimaces while recording? It's all an act.

  • Disregard it when people say you should play with "emotion." It is an empty buzzword that means nothing.

  • Shut up no it's not. You probably don't even play so you probably don't even know what he is talking about. So unless you can play, don't be goin around telling other players that they are wrong! You must play Avril Lavign if you do play. Now THAT has no emotion! =p

  • You guitarists give us a bad name. Just stop playing and save us the shame of being affiliated with idiots like you.

  • Who the fuck is US?1 Your just jealous that you cant play one of the best instruments of all time! Just cuz we don't play the skin flute, doesn't give you fags a bad name!

  • By us I mean other guitarists. You idiot metal heads give the guitar a pitiful reputation amongst REAL instruments. Your preference in mediocrity in technique and music pales against actually serious musicians.

  • Awesome solo, man you'd own at poker o.O

  • haha am i the only one that got that?

  • DUDE!!!...the licks are there, but when ya shreddin Zakk ya gotta have strong, wide Vibrato.I must agree with JoshlsNumber3.A guitar is not a violin bro.Bend those strings for vibrato man.Zakks got a post of him doin a walk through on this solo.I would suggest watchin it....Good luck

  • Great SONg Great T-Shirt Man

  • Good job maan!! ;P

  • Your vibrato is really weak and thin. Instead of doing a "side to side" vibrato like a violinist, try to do more of an up and down motion and widen it up.

  • i completely agree and you should play with just a little emotion and you wont believe how much better it sounds, good job though

  • that was decent stone face.

  • YEEEAAAHHH , thats Pretty Dam Shred Dude

    STAY ROCK"N"METAL

  • good job dude, would love to see a recent version.

  • still pretty dam good

  • Hey, I'd be great if your bends wouldn't be off key :). First few were flat, then that one where the solo builds up was sharp... I wonder hoy you learn to play so "fast" parts but don't realize the bends are off... ???

  • I'm well aware the bends are off pitch... thanks for being like the 3948902419th to point this out, but this was recorded almost 2 years ago, and I just don't feel like re-recording it

  • I think its great,good work

  • tuning?

  • E flat

  • actually it's D flat. the lower E-string is dropped to the Db.

  • bad ass man

  • well done, and im liking that shirt you're wearing - very good band choice

  • Sweet!

  • nice job man these guys only say bad things because your not famous or dont have a sucessful band but you rock either way

  • Very good dude check out my version i have the same beautiful guitar as yours! without the EMGS though! i prefer the epip ones!

  • but his guitar is a gibson not an epiphone

  • very very nice, i love that solo man. keep it up

  • Nice job. Its not fake so all you assholes can go fuck yourselves.

  • nice les paul man! i kinda like the trapezoid shaped inlays instead of the block ones though. but still a good looking gibson!

  • The trapazoids come on LP Standards. This guy has a Custom. I incidentally have a Custom just like this one. I also have a '91 Standard with the trap inlays you're talking about. My Custom has the standard gold hardware and original electronics. Customs also have an ebony fret board, a harder wood than found on Standards, which use rosewood. Hardwoods make for a brighter tone, softer woods like rosewood a darker tone. I personally prefer Standards. My Standard is a cherry sunburst with EMGs...

  • hey ur that guy from vanderbilly lol

  • you play it better than me for sure. im workin at it tho. ibanez and gibson are two different worlds. keep rockin bro

  • fake.. u put ur fingers on the wrong frets

  • Yep, I even faked the mistakes, I actually paid Zakk Wylde to play it slightly off so I could make it more realistic as if I had played it. Your version's much more authentic... oh wait, you have no videos... please, I don't have the need to go around misrepresenting myself on the internet, please refer to my 35 other videos and various guitar lessons on vanderbilly if you think i'm 'faking' it

  • Good job but idk if in this song you can but try using pinky a little more

  • Oh? Please enlighten us by showing us how it's really done. If you aren't gonna do it then be quiet because no one is going to take you seriously.

Good job on the solo, Neosonic66!

  • awsome job nice guitar!

  • You can tell that Zakk was influenced heavily by Randy Rhoads in this song. The last phrase where he rips those triads, that's pure Randy

  • gibson, hands down
