I think what geraintpierce is trying to say is that everyone who has a rottweiler or Pit Bull must be a bad person because no one could possibly have a dog "Like This" and actually love it and raise it normally. Some people don't understand that ANY breed can be RAISED to be aggressive and it's not the dogs who are at fault. We have an 11 YO Rottie and the only time she's ever shown aggression was when 2 guys put a ladder next to our house to climb into the window, they never came back ;)

One thing about rotweilers, they grow fast as hell. I have one named pepper, she's about a year old now. I swear she grew in like 3 weeks. I messed up because I kind of babied her as a puppy, always holding her. Now she's like the size of a bear and still tries to jump in my lap when i'm sitting down. lol

it's not thatthese dogs are violent more that they are more prone to developing violent behaviors if not properly trained because of their domint personalities. not that its bad to have a dominit dog just keep him/her in packing order. they need to know that they are not the boss. and people should never encourage a dog to attack somone. terriers have packing problems sometimes too. but if you train a dog any dog i think can be a companion.

People. I currently own a rottweiler. Hes the sweetest thing ever. I've had him since I was 5...Im 13 now. My family has had over 3 rottweilers and they are very smart/trainable, loving, and beautiful dogs. The only way for a rottweiler to be aggressive is if you trained it that way, or you didn't give it the proper attention and love. Stop giving them a "bad name". Don't talk bad about them unless you've owned one or you've had any experience with them. Their great dogs. I love my rottweiler:)

EXACTLY!!! My aunt had a rotty when i was young. i loved him soooo much, that they became my

favorite kind of dog! He was such a baby & had the silliest little personality! i.e. He wasn't allowed in the kitchen during dinner. My aunt would tell him to go into the living room & he would lay down near the doorway. When she wasn't looking, he would put just his paw into the kitchen! She would glance at him & he'd slowly pull it back. Hahahaha!!! Sooooo funny to watch!
