Nice video, but it's flawed because this can easily be mistaken for a disobedient child. Even when she screams "You're not my dad", he could have been an uncle or the parents could have given him responsibility of her. Also, people fear to get involved because the size of the guy can be intimidating. And you never know he might of had a weapon. Its really risky getting involved in that situation.

The guys who helped were actually those who could face the attacker. Nevertheless, its New York. I've read several instances in Indian newspapers where the public got involved to avert a kidnapping bid, theft and someone sick. My own experience in Indian cities, Esp. if someone's sick or had a small accident, people crowd around you to help. I even got help in Copenhagen. Perhaps the apathy is American.

I think that people would help not because they'ld think someone else would help BUT because they think they're too weak to do so.

And this is only an example from the U.S. But, these things are more common in the western world, and we all know whats the reason for this. The larger the city is, it gets worse.
