Unfortunately Ninjato are normal swords, and ninjas did not use Katanas, they used Ninjato. If ninjas used Katanas, they would be so horribly dangerous that they would destroy the universe. When Katanas are made, they are folded 100 times to make it extremely tough, so they're like indestructible. Then, they're also extremely sharp, being rated as one of the best swords in the world by Deadliest Warrior. Ninjato are just normal swords :P

You know why ninja boy there is so upset?
