  • this is a song about a comment that really pisses me off, that comment is: Get a life. because the people who type that are probley 38 years old and living in there moms basement and having her buy pizza for them.

  • R.E.M?

  • This is one of the most underrated comedies of the past 20 years.

  • STAND

  • omegle?

  • 1989.

  • I'm glad a lot of people don't get it!

  • What would Chris Peterson be doing today in 2011?Would he still be delivering Papers?Wish someone would write some fan fiction about Get a Life.Guess his folks would be dead and possibly Gus.Hed probably be living in an abondoned warehouse somewhere.Sharon would still be trying to kill him .With the decline in newsprint ,I dont think he would still have a route anymore.

  • @MrJacMac1986 No, he would be a Janitor at a Hospital...

  • @MrJacMac1986 Hi, I think his dads would have died and he would have inherited the house and would still be living there. possibly, just possibly, he'll be married and have some kids doing the paper route for him.

I am spanish and this series were a huge success in my country back in the 90s. I loved it.

  • Was that redheaded woman, bending over to get hte paper, in the episode "married" Where Chris gets married for a day?I think she played the woman that Chris had an affair with.

  • I remember my parents watching this show when I was like 3. The line up was: Parker Lewis Can't Lose, In Living Color, Get A Life, Married With Children, and I think the Simpsons?

  • @Badassery87 Herman's Head

  • @Badassery87

    cool story bro

  • I wonder whatever happened to that cat he used to tape to his head. Fucking guy is funny as hell, I watch Eagleheart every thursday.

  • get a wife!

  • 7 people need to Get a Life!

  • what makes this so funny is that i knew someone like this...

  • Still a great show. That was also the heyday for the Pioneer Press.

  • BEST SHOW EVER.

  • I remember this as a kid.Funny show!Fox back then had great shows.In Living Color,Married with Children,The Larry Sanders Show and Herman's Head.I still enjoy Fox's Sunday Night line up.Well,I hate Bob's Burgers :(

  • @Frankensnizzle LOL Herman's Head. Loved that show. Fox was cranking out good stuff then.

  • I like that opening. I liked the line-up. We had Married with Children after that was Get a Life and then In Living Color.

  • @Psycho9263 between those, AND the simpsons, fox was unstoppable

  • @Psycho9263 Don't forget Parker Lewis Can't Lose.

  • @MrJacMac1986 Yeah even with Chris Elliott's daughter on the snl cast, it's just not good. It's the writers though since the cast are hilarious outside the snl show.

  • @streeTkiDwannaBe SNL isn't good,but Abby Elliott is hot!

  • i was like maybe 5 back then and this show was awsome !

  • Damn, I had forgot about this show until I watched Cabin boy, one of the best shows ever!

  • 6 people need to get a life.

  • @quiktymevideo hahahahaha

  • @quiktymevideo you got more likes than they are

  • I was reminded of this show when I heard the song "Stand" at Five Guys. I thought I remembered it being the theme to this song, and I was right. :)

  • 1 of the best shows in the early 90s. I was young as hell but i damn sure remember this, Herman's Head, and Parker Lewis.

  • @TheMoneyMaker05 It should have gotten two more seasons.

  • @MrJacMac1986 it deserved it for real. It was too funny.

  • I was only 9 or 10 when this was on TV, though I still remember this intro, and have been a huge fan of R.E.M. my entire life

  • This show was funny. Love this opening song.

  • Any1 remember the episode where I think him and his classmate got stuck on a rollercoaster and every1 was waiting for they;re blood to rush to they're heads and explode? Some1 download that clip please. especially where the news lady goes up for an interview....

  • Opening reminds me of the video game The Paper Boy, Especially when he crashes into the camero. Wish they'd put this on a dvd set.

  • tv shows now cant compare to this

  • Dude this show was awsome.I remember the episode when he was getting his drivers license. he was taking the drivers test smoking a cigarette. Awsome.A friend of mine could not watch this show he said it hit to close to home. The sad thing is he still lives in his parents house

  • This guy is just fun !!! Get a Life, get back on TV again

  • Even though I'm not a fan of REM, I have to admit that I'm pretty impressed that they did a TV theme ( or allowed the song to be on the show ) especially for such a great show as this. I'll always remember the one where Chris gets his mail order Submarine and puts it together in the shower.

  • daaaaaamn i remember this shit like yesterday...i had to be like 9

  • some of these people here need to get one! LOL

  • Chris Elliot was funny as hell, and never got his due. He was poorly used(like most comedians) during his stint on Saturday Night Live.

  • @TargetRender He was on the last funny season(1994 - 1995)of SNL.It started to suck after Farley,Sandler, and Nealon left at the end of that year.SNL just sucks now. The only things even remotely funny are the political parodies and Weekend update.I watch it occasionally hoping that it will get funny again but i guess that will never happen.Maybe its just that the younger writers have a different sense of humour.

  • I miss this show so much!

  • Sadly, Chris Elliott is an under rated comedian

  • It took me forever to remember the name of this show. I loved it as a kid.

  • loved this show and Herman's Head

  • they should have made a movie i am the only guy who remembers this sitcom it was funny but it was 2 long ago to remember why.

  • Si os gustan las series absurdas esta es la vuestra. Mi hermano y yo la vimos entera cuando la emitieron por Canal +.

La verdad es que el prota es gilip... jaja

  • If you like crazy this series is yours. My brother and I saw where the entire broadcast on Canal + Spain.

  • Waths a name of this SONG ??? pls pls

  • The name of the song is "Stand".

  • I remember this show back when I was 5 what a classic

  • classically an unknown. everytime i bring up "get a life" nobody has a clue what I'm talking about. just like the bbc show "ideal" another brillant show that's little known.

  • i think he has to learn how o ride a god dam bike

  • Does anyone know the name of the episode where chris is in a bar ( in a city?) theres a pool table in the scene - all I remember of it.. I do remember this episode as the funniest thing I'd ever watched.

  • @morganash88 it was the wallet boy episode where Chris goes to the big city and thinks he was drugged and robbed and the city makes him a celebrity only for him to find he wasn't robbed but left the wallet on the kitchen table he is then tossed out of the city

  • @mroracal Hey, Thanks very much for that info! I've wanted to know that for many years - hope it's available on one of the two dvds that I think are still for sale. Cheers.

  • how do i get a life?

  • Comment removed

  • Stupid ass Hulu doesn't even have this...

  • i LOVE this Tv show.. Is it on DVD yet? Chris is just HILARIOUS in this show - the writers were dead on!

  • It was realesed a couple years back. Awesome Show

  • When Chris tosses the paper to that busty woman before going head first into the parked car, did you ever notice that the house the woman is standing in front of is the Munsters house?

  • @classicphile I never noticed anything other than her when I watched this as a kid. She was hot.

  • I used to LOVE this show, I wonder why it's not available on DVD... My favorite episode was where he dies from having his tonsils removed! LOL

  • I remember Chris would always die at the end of every episode. LOL!

Way before Kenny & South Park.

  • An awesome show that brings back many memories! And to top it off.....I READ that paper he delivers everyday! The St. Paul Pioneer Press!!!! I never realized that before! Ahahahahaha!

  • this is all i remember about the show, but it's still funny

  • TITMOUSE!!!!!!

  • is that woogie?

  • flying blind wuz kewl to

  • i remember back then my brother and i referred to main character as "get a life". we called him that when he appeared in other movies haha.

  • Fox was great back in the early 90s. Not like the crap they air today.

  • Fox in the 90s kicked ass. Now they have shitty tv shows like american idol, glee, etc. The only shows from Fox that I like now is The Simpsons, Family Guy, Cleveland Show, NFL on FOX, MLB on Fox.

  • @quiktymevideo Now it's all just a bunch of political propaganda.

  • @quiktymevideo Yeah, nowadays, its all that American Idol crap. Fox was once known for not only shows like Get A Life, but also shows like Married With Children, In Living Color, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Martin, Living Single, and of course Duet. Even the Simpsons were watchable back then

  • @mrrab20 What about Tracey Ullman?

  • Loved the Handsome Boy Modeling School episode - Chris Elliott is definitely an acquired taste, but in that episode he was brilliant!

  • One of the most brilliant shows ever.

  • totally agree. Do you or anyone remember a sitcom that was on FOX in early 90's....i think it came on after the Garry shandling show? no name actors, but.....well i just have faint memories... is there a web site to find names of shows?

  • Comment removed

  • @quincee33 You thinking of Herman's Head? Had the girl that does Lisa Simpson's voice...

  • Well, after Garry Shandling came the Tracey Ullman show..........is that the one you're thinking of?

  • @TheBoyrooster amen!!!!!

  • Chris Elliot is a funny guy. I always liked this show!

  • i didn't think to look this up until now, rotfl this brings back memories damn! this show was hilarious. sadly, people in general don't like good shows -,-

  • XDDD

  • A lot of people misses this program and this kind of humour...

If you didn't yet, you can see the film called "Cabin Boy" from 1994. It has the same actors, the same writers and the same kind of jokes.

  • wow I remember this show....makes me feel old!

  • The concept of this show was hilarious, and Chris Elliot played the part to a tee. This was one of the shows that launched the FOX t.v. network.

  • ya, FOX had some offbeat shows.. how can i find the names of some of those sitcoms? i remember the Garry shandling show...but i forget the names of some others.

  • why is this not on dvd YET!

  • :D thats funny :D

  • watch some another vids.of the show.you'll see...

  • How was that funny?

  • I love this guy.missing this guy.he's too funny.

  • I loved this show on Fox 5, hate that they cancelled it, it was too funny, I liked it alot, he always had me laughing, maybe others couldn't handle his sense of humor, but I could.

  • lmao my life isnt even half as cool as this guys xD

    jk lmfao

  • Fox was a creative HOTBED for shows in the late 80s / early 90s. Imagine shows like this, and Herman's Head, and The Simpsons getting on the air today? They were so ahead of their time.

  • 1st season of this show was great. Back when Fox was introducing sitcoms left and right that failed after 5 episodes.

  • LOL!!

  • That is my life.

  • it was so stupid but so funny TV show.I still do love it with R.E.M.thanks for sharing.

  • oh yeah!!!! it had been so long since i watched this,i forgot the theme song....now i remember! damn i miss this show!

  • Great show. everyone loves it, never should have canceled it.

  • chris elliot rules!

  • Chris, come back, please.

  • I thought this show was funny. It only lasted a couple seasons.

  • omg.i kinda remember this show.

  • i loved this show so much. when he made the rocket ship ahahahaha

  • Ending was classic XD

  • Surely a brilliant classic that was SO far ahead of its time with offbeat situations and humor. Every second of every show was amazing.

  • thnx

  • this is tv at it's finest, truly the best show

i believe it influenced tim n eric's comedy, too

i never consciously realized how abstract it was

it just made sense to me

growing up i only knew one other person who found this show funny

  • Tell me about it, i was 11 and had no one to bounce the jokes off of that would appriciate or understand it. The only person was my brother who was 2 years older. God I loved this show.

  • thats sooo werd up... hermans head...rock..

  • Fox had some pretty good shows back in the day, Get a life, Rock, In Living Color, Hermans Head

  • Roc fucking sucked...that bald, fat, black dude was wayyyy to animated! He was always shaking his head like Mohammad Ali nowadays or some wet chihuahua!

  • Hermans Head!!! HA, what a great show!!

  • good tv show

  • Sweet childhood memories!!!

  • I used to watch this show religiously. Thanks for posting this, it brings back good memories.

  • This show was so funny that I had to tape it because I would laugh so hard I had to stop the tape.

  • I haven't seen this show in nearly 20 years, but was just thinking about it the other day and how it used to make me laugh so hard I had tears streaming down my cheeks. Good memories :D

  • How is it that so few people remember this show? It always amazes me how most people seem to have forgotten it.

  • i know.....this show was so ridiculously stupid yet you cant stop laughing your f*ckin ass off...amazing isnt it

  • This show was so bad it was good.

  • I resemble Chris! People tell me all the time "You look like that 30-yr old newspaper boy"!

  • this show used to be great

  • 30 years old and still a paperboy, he needs to GET A LIFE.

  • @Steveman27 lmao!

  • staaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnd!!!!

  • I loved to watch this show back when I was a kid, I wonder if it's out on dvd?

  • this show was way before its time. I think its up there with Seinfield.

  • fuckin classiccccccccccc...good old days and great shows!

  • I know what you are...you're RUFFIANS!

  • Cryin shame that women have that much power to take a brotha of his paper route grind. What about the people at the end of the block...cryin shame

  • Wow I remember watching this show when I was like 7

  • Ahh, the early 90s.

  • This was Fox's heyday. Great stuff. They don't make em like they used to. I want my Al Bundy!

  • Hell yeah, there use to be good shows.

  • In the early 90's on FOX.
