  • this is the most touching songs i ever heard in my life! I love it.

  • Good song, Abbie, true, when the wall came down we thought it was a new beginning a new world, but it did not changed things for the better, we were unprepared acted like the poor sheep, listened to those who used us. Now many of us know what we need and we have the means to teach others. With this song you are spreading the word, may love , peace and minds of our own prevail among the world!

  • I like how the song and this book almost connects perfectly, even if they're not completely connected with each other.

  • @MikeMsDaughter11 And by that I mean, they both don't exactly mean the same thing but it seems like they do.

  • Anyone see the dislike button? I dont <3

  • <3

  • She one of a few that still writes from the Heart. Unlike those of today. We must tall,we must stand strong for all. JOB WELL DONE TO ALL!!!

  • My wife used to listern to this when I was on Operation Granby the first Gulf war!

  • This song brings me streagth when ever i thing about my struggleds, and the fight i have indured over the years as who i am. Hoever, the song has many many meaning to all who listen, yet for many who served in the irac war will always remember the tramendous harrors that took place !!

  • I played this many a time at night when I was on deployment..at the time, I was aboard the Eisenhower and patrolled the Red Sea Aug. 8-20, 1990 and the Arabian (Persian) Gulf October 1991-February 1992...agwcpw, I salute your efforts amidst the carnage of that day...On the morning of the 24th, I looked south from the George Washington Bridge and wept as I rolled along I-80 in a semi playing "Like A Rock" over and over until I crossed the Delaware into Pennsylvania...RIP to those we lost..

  • One of the most touching songs I've ever listened...thank you so much for posting it!!

  • I also was a Desert Storm Vet, I served in the US Army from 83 - 2005. I received the CD at my home in Arizona. I cried when I heard this song and read the letter from those involved with Operation Desert Angel. It has brought a lot of healing to my troubled soul and gave me strength in later missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Thank you for posting this up

  • @WeylynKelley thank you for your service and the freedoms you have given us

  • ty Stevie

  • I was in Desert Sheild and Deset Storm. I cherish this song and Thanks to Stevie Nicks for seeing us. I can't stop crying since the news last night about Bin Laden. I can mourn my fallen brothers and sisters now.

  • @mhawk98 thank you for your service and the freedom you have given us; i am a veteran of the world trade center disaster, i feel your pain brother, and yes i too cried when they killed bin laden, but it is so bitter sweet; I have been dying a lil each day since I left ground zero; I will never ba able to forget; it only gets easier to live with as time goes on; drag racing eases the pain a bit; lets me be in my own little world even if is only for 6 seconds its 6 seconds of freedom you guys gave

  • I was in Desert Sheild and Deset Storm. I cherish this song and Thanks to Stevie Nicks for seeing us

  • I love this song. I know this is a tribute to all that were involved with desert storm, and the military then and now.. thank you for your service,.. Thanks to Stevie Nicks, for always remiinding us.. freedom doesn't come free.

  • I too love this song and it's under rated for sure....it does grow on you too..why is it Stevies songs that would be at the top of the charts DONT get released. I know she does this cause she wants to and she doesn't need to gain fame or money, but I just never felt that whoever makes the choices on her solo albums doesn't know her fans at ALL! So If Lindsay would produce an unrelased demo album, THAT would be the best since BellaDonna or WildHeart. Just my opinion

  • Its abbot" how we've been torn apart" isn't it?…I first found this song on Timespace the best of….

  • As a Desert Storm vet, thank you, Stevie.

  • Don't worry the record industry will ban this video out of ignorance. They hate their faithful customers. The more we buy their product, the more they hate us.

Don't believe me? Try to find "In the Desert" or "Desert Angel" on YouTube.

The record industry hates their paying customers. I pray they have an awakening and celebrate those that pay them millions in admiration.

  • awesome

  • God this song has always stuck out to me. Its so special and has so much feeling.

  • REALLY GOOD BOOK!

  • To my best friend in the whole wide world, I miss you so much!!! :(

I need to talk to you!! Can you hear me??

  • thanks

  • I have been waiting for someone to upload this!

    Thank you so much <3
