While BP is in 5000' of water and 50 miles from shore.

UMMM... VP Cheney and Pres. Bush have been out of office for 15 months. Democrats have controlled Congress since 2006 and could have re-written the rules. The oil rig started drilling in February 2010 and Obama took over in January 2009 so his administration has been approving all of the permits and inspections for the last 15 months of the drilling/planning and has approved and given thumbs up at every inspection for the past 15 months. Gee I wonder why they were having to drill in such deep water. Seems like drilling in more shallow water or even on land would make more sense. Wow oil companies must be really stupid for doing that. (sarcasm)

And you can still find trace amount of oil on the beach in South Padre Texas 31 years later... I know, I've been there since I was a child.
