The way the game is setup there's no real "good" way to not seem either over confident, or a complete stuck-up, bored asshole. I can only guess they stand the way they do because its comfortable, or its meant to be intimidating.

Well the "only the first answer" rule through out the show was used sometimes and they let it slide other times...

There were times where they CLEARLY said an answer, then corrected themselves - and were given credit, and other times in the same round they stutter a syllable and the judge counts it wrong...
