  • The former Speaker of the House of Commons, Peter Milliken, who found the Harper government in contempt, wrote the foreword for a new book on contempt of Parliament by Irish barrister Kieron Wood, available worldwide from Clarus Press as a hard copy or an ebook

  • apperently the 1.9m dollar fake lake wasnt actually 1.9m, but still, but this video rules, too bad he did win majority, i could'nt believe that

  • 4more years people 4 moreyears yesssssssssss!!

  • gable = gamble at midnight :)

  • Yes I am willing to let Stephen Harper and his Team manage the affairs of this great country with the understanding that what he is doing is effective and for the country's best. I trust he is being fair, ethical and responsible. We are doing very well as a nation and his Leadership is taking us in a good direction. Why would I want to mess with it and gable on uncertainty? It is like firing the coach of the Stanley Cup winning Team because your Uncle Iggy from the US says he can do it too!

  • well... Canada has a commitment to NATO. Our current planes are going to be past their 'best before date' soon... The cost of the jets is spread out and no matter who is in power, the Canadian Government will still end up buying them! Do we fold up the Armed Forces, tell them we don't need them anymore, put them on EI, or let them fly aged non airworthy planes, or do we rotate the fleet with newer, safer, more effective hardware? It is a necessary evil as a respondsible member of the world :)

  • After hearing this dribble, I am still voting Conservative. This piece is very biased and has inaccuracies that are not correct. YES Harper spent money, but it was smartly paying the previous Liberal government's debt before it crippled our economy ! He put most towards our deficit!! That is NOT a waste of our money, it is smart, he paid the bills. And stop saying he is makes every decision like a dictator, yes he is a smart guy, but he also has a strong team of advisers to assist him.

  • @ambientcarrot We had a surplus from the previous liberal government, despite it's many faults. And paying $30 billion for fighter jets (which apparently doesn't even cover the cost of the engines) is a waste of our money if I ever saw one.

  • @ambientcarrot LOL. Check your facts. Harper inherited a massive surplus from the Liberals, and turned it into a record deficit. Not the other way around.

  • Everyone is telling me what to vote against....wish someone would give an idea of what to vote FOR

  • Voting is strictly for chumps who've deluded themselves into thinking that it makes any difference. You're going to get screwed in the tailpipe no matter who gets in. The only difference is what position they will place you in before they commence to humping!

  • There was NO 3 party coalition. If you had absorbed the information accurately initially, you would have noted that the PROPOSAL was that the Liberal and NDP Parties form a coalition and the Bloc supported this PROPOSAL. The Bloc had no vote or power but DID support the idea. Ignatieff has said that he would not form a coalition. The proposed coalition was dreamed up by Layton and DION--not Ignatieff. Goodness, get over it!

  • Canada needs a change, NDP for the win!

  • 40 % morons in canada ? what a surprise ! it's the same percentage in here, but a big difference for us, we have the Bloc to vote for.

  • Speak for yourself... I do not consider myself progressive (ie regressive). Your letter is too long.

  • 2 quick things:

The opposition parties have no standing to point to the budget deficit as they forced that spending by forming a 3 party coalition. They asked for that spending, in fact, they forced it. Prior to that, the cons had balanced budgets.

Khadr. Was arrested for throwing a grenade at American soldiers and killing a medic. The US had a right to try him. He has had his trial and pled guilty. He was too old to be a Child Soldier under NATO.

  • Take away all the rhetoric about promises and platforms...bottom line is Harper's party is completely devoid of ethics, and a threat to everything that most Canadians cherish. I don't trust much of what any of them say, but considering the laundry list of garbage that these shmucks have tried to get away with, I'd say it's time to clean house.

  • Iggy calls a vote of no confidence, forcing an election that no one wants and that he must know he'll lose (at least enough to give Harper a minority). NDP makes thousands of false promises rooted in myth and absent hard facts. I'm voting Harper.

  • Tell Harper, Kids"living"in poverty want(A life)for Easter!

Vote out their Hunger and pain"

  • Tell Harper, Kids"living"in poverty want(A life)for Easter!

Vote out their Hunger and pain"

  • I can't believe the conservatives have a chance of winning MAJORITY after all this...

I am starting to have zero faith in this country...

  • That's pretty good. But what somebody REALLY needs to do is to put a variation of the "I Am Canadian" rant from the Molson ad, rewritten for the election.

  • If you want to talk about broken promises, a reminder of the Liberal Majority government of the'90s in is order me thinks...

  • @craiger316 While the Liberals were bad, the Tories have done much worse in much less time. I say we stop voting for either and elect the NDP. They respect democracy, the average family, the environment, foreign affairs and culture. More than either two can say.

  • @dra900nka1n yeah I should have prefaced my comment with "I don't support the Torries but..." :)

  • @craiger316 I believe Tommy Douglas achieved so much because as he said, he didn't compromise for the corporations. He fought for Canadians rights, and that the situation down south showed him why. The problem with the Liberals lies herein. Although yeah, they are corrupt as well.

Thankfully, this election looks like it could revolutionize Canada's political landscape thanks to the NDP's success in the polls. Let's it remains the same when translated to results.

  • @dra900nka1n Re Harper spending Martin's money ( surplus ) Did he not put most towards our deficit!! wow what a waste of our money he paid the bills. Why do you make that sound bad?

  • @dra900nka1n The accountability act was voted in with Liberal and Tory support..... where is it today?? floating mysteriously some where in Parliament... why is that???? If you watched the debate it was brought up by Harper ...then Jack changed the subject ...very quickly.

  • @dra900nka1n you can call me rude all you want. When you first started on here you had no clue other then what you have herd from the CBC and Globe pfffft. This video is one sided plain and simple and IF people are mad at me!! and are googeling all kinds of answer just to try and KICK ME in the head so be it!! at least they are learning something. I look forward to your reply.

  • @JackMalibu the video's one sided. Does that make you being an indecent human being right? No. I pay attention to politics full time (and despite the fact that I do read CBC/Globe&Mail doesn't mean I don't have multiple sources), and have not been Googling just to argue you. You're once again simply assuming your view is the ultimate and have nothing insightful to say.

  • @dra900nka1n You calling me an indecent human being does not make you right or smarter, it just shows your Character. Every question you ask I answer then you get mad because I am right and you hate that.

  • @JackMalibu I said you were acting like an indecent human being because of your rudeness. Yes you answer them. In my opinion they aren't right, but I don't judge. I do have many Tory and Liberal friends, and while we do argue friendly a lot, we don't judge the other. You cross the line with your rudeness.

  • @dra900nka1n Am I you a corporate CEO? Very funny.Ha ha. I do know one thing and I can't see how you can debate this..but you will :(. If you tax the Big Corporations, they are still going to be giving them selves big fat million dollar bonuses.. but then because of high taxes they will cut jobs and raise consumer prices ( that's you and I paying more for the same) and if we are not happy will move to Mexico (how many times do we have to see that?)

  • @JackMalibu Funny, because the NDP have a way to counteract that kind of thing. Instead of simply handing over the money hoping they'll create jobs, the NDP would give a set amount of tax credits for every job they create. Also, moving to Mexico isn't cheap. They won't do it for a small tax percentage.

  • Vote for Jack Layton!

  • its because he's taking care of the old people, ask any old person, they're voting conservative...because there's no change..and the majority don't like change

  • @brittanytopham11 Is Harper really taking care of the average senior? Let's look at it this way: Harper had one of two options, set an election, or listen to the NDP demands to raise pension and more seniors above poverty level. Harper chose an election.

  • People ask yourselves why the Liberals are not in power. Then and only then will you understand WTF is going on. It's so easy to cry about the other guy boo hoo. You can't even resolve your own parties problem.

  • @JackMalibu And Harper can't stop fucking up Canada. At least with the NDP, they've got everything planned, and know how to execute their plans.

  • @dra900nka1n Where the hell is Jack going to get the money to pay for his 1,000,000 promises he has made? He says he can have doctors for us as soon as he is elected, from where??? his hat!!!. Tax tax tax tax tax tax tax tax tax blah blah blah. The Liberals are smarter then the NDP

  • @JackMalibu He's actually shown he knows where to get money from. If you LISTEN to him instead of continuously dismissing him prematurely, you'd figure that out. For one thing, there's only about several dozen billion dollars in corporate taxes he could eliminate. He's going to eliminate the subsidies to oil companies. If individual taxes DO raise, it'll be very slim.

  • @dra900nka1n Jack is going to get his money through taxes no and's if's or but's !! Like carbon tax right?

ok so you and I will be paying 2 bucks a liter for gas. The oil companies are still rich and the poor people will not be able to afford there cars. WTF can't you see that??? it will cost more for food everything.....

  • @JackMalibu The NDP will get their money from taxes, but they'll get the same amount the Tories are getting. Try arguing the Tories DON'T get their money through taxes.

Price cap on gas prices. Ta-da! Farmers would be supported more, so food would be cheaper.

It's cheaper for the average Canadian in the long run. "WTF can't you see that???" I could ask you the same thing.

  • @JackMalibu Harper on the other hand IS making up numbers. You can't keep everyone's taxes low and keep spending on everything you see while in a deficit. Look at the helicopters. You know that original cost he's been parading? That doesn't even include the ENGINES! What are pilots going to do? Flap their wings? Harper is wasting money we don't have on things we don't need. People should learn basic math.

Layton has shown he knows sources to get money, and he'll spend it where it matters.

  • Harper's gotten us kicked off of the UN Security Council, tried to destroy the Copenhagen Accord every time he could (with the help of Obama and the Chinese Pres) before saying he was WORKING with it (in the debate), started becoming one of the only 4 governments that does not work within Kyoto protocol, and now there are other countries trying to kick us out of the Commonwealth.

Harper has lost Canada's respect, and WE STILL WANT TO ELECT HIM?

People need to open their eyes to common sense.

  • @dra900nka1n I didn't even know about other countries wanting to kick us out of the commonwealth! I went and looked it up after you said that...this is a new low for our country.

  • @hoshikei2 Brian Mulroney, for all his suckiness, still had Canada keep a decent image. I guess maybe it was because he paled in comparison to Thatcher.

    It is a new low.

Although, Steve's propaganda has worked well. Now many Canadians fear the Martin days when we were respected and didn't have an overspending prime minister.

I can't vote this election since my birthday's on the 18th (although I imagine I'd be more responsible than the average voter), but I hope Canada can fix this now.

  • @dra900nka1n I find it sad how uneducated the average voter is. Most people just watch the attack ads and don't research at all. This is why Harper keeps winning. I'm hoping for a miracle this election, though almost anyone I know who's our age seems to be voting Liberal or NDP. And they put a lot more thought into it than most people who are supposed to be the "responsible adults"! I'm thinking there's going to be a huge youth vote this time around, so there's always hope! :)

  • @hoshikei2 I don't have satellite, so I haven't seen any ads anyways (except for the ones on the NDP website). I also hope there's a huge youth vote, although the majority are Greens, a good chunk are NDP, and the other 3 are Christian right wingers (they're not all bad).

I managed to convert my drama teacher though when I asked him why he agreed with the Tory idea that acting is for the cultural elite (I love acting).

At least we can say that the average voter is getting smarter :)

  • @dra900nka1n I don't have satellite either, but I see a lot of the ads on CTV. Oddly enough, the youth I talk to that are voting are mostly evenly split between Liberal and NDP, then Green and Conservative are close seconds.

Ah yes, Harper's claims that the average Canadian doesn't care about art (I love writing and acting!). Note to Harper: art is a big part of a country's culture. If we continue to cut funding as he did, we lose an important part of ourselves along with it.

  • Harper's gotten us kicked off of the UN Security Council, tried to destroy the Copenhagen Accord every time he could (with the help of Obama and the Chinese President) before saying he was WORKING with it, started becoming one of the only 4 governments that does not work within Kyoto protocol, and now there are other countries trying to kick us out of the Commonwealth.

Harper has lost Canada's respect, and WE STILL WANT TO ELECT HIM??? People need to open their eyes to common sense.

  • I do not support the Harper Government. I SUPPORT THE GOVERNMENT OF CANADA.

  • @cellardoorKarm True the Harper thing is a bit much

  • @JackMalibu I know I'm jumping in on your reply, and I'm sorry about that. I just wanted to say that not a single person I've ever spoken to is "proud" that we lost our bid to the UN security council (which is what I think you're referring to? Correct me if I'm wrong). It was an absolute embarrassment that we lost that bid.

  • @hoshikei2 You are right .It's not a proud moment to loose the UN seat. You have a right to be concerned. What I was saying is you should inform yourself as to who replaced us and then make up your own mind. I agree with the values we stood up for, and that is what caused us to be voted out. It is up to you to agree or disagree. This issue is very touchy and can only be defined as controversial and does not follow party line. The embarrassment is the UN's to bear IMO.

  • @JackMalibu We were replaced by Germany and Portugal, so I don't see what you mean about the countries that replaced us. While you're right in the sense that it's a touchy issue and it does depend on where you stand on the values, I do think the embarrassment is our own and not the UN's. We lost votes by alienating countries that would have voted for us through our foreign policy. The fact that Harper's spokesperson tried to place the blame on Ignatieff instead is very telling.

  • @hoshikei2 So you think Portugal deserves a seat on the UN and that it was OK for IIgnatieff to call Canada a disgrace prior to the Vote.

  • @JackMalibu I don't understand what Portugal has done recently to offend you, I don't know if they deserved it, but I was surprised at some of the other countries that got elected. I don't think that it was right for Ignatieff to call Canada a disgrace, but I don't like the fact that the conservatives didn't accept their own role in it. They were the ones in power when this happened, not the Liberals. The fact that they tried to win last-minute votes by giving away maple syrup makes me cringe.

  • Comment removed

  • @JackMalibu I am aware of the economic situation. :) But at the same time credit for our relatively stable economy cannot be given to Harper. We had a surplus from the Liberals, and he actually put us in the red before the reccession. He didn't even admit we were in a recession in 2008 until he faced pressure to do so! He's given tax cuts to corporations and we're the ones who suffer. Harper is running on the claim that he is good for the economy when that's not at all true.

  • I don't understand why people continue to keep voting for Harper, his government have proven themselves over the last five years to be undemocratic. Our choices in this election aren't great, but we deserve better.

  • @hoshikei2 Look around you............ other Countries declared bankruptcy!!. our province is almost Bankrupt under Liberals here in Ontario. Countries are asking us how we made it through these tough economic times!! The deficit was almost cleared when the three parties of opposition forced the Harper government to spend spend spend. NOT sure how you can even make that comment.

  • @JackMalibu really the stat that i got from stats canada showed decline in money in the first quarter of 2009 and cbc reports a surplus 7 years in a row under liberal majority back in 2004 from 97-2004 so it may have even been longer but now where in a deficit so tell again how it was all everyone elses fault when the same part that was in charge ran with a surplus and you your self even said cut programs

  • @JackMalibu Yeah, other countries declared bankrupcy. Thank God for that amazing finance minister/prime minister. I keep saying that Paul Martin deserves a round of applause for giving us that ginormous surplus, even if the Tories squandered most of it.

  • wish I would have proof read that one lol, oh well :)

  • Please give me three reasons to vote for your party of choice ______? I stated why for mine earlier. I have seen no reason other then to vote Conservative.

  • @JackMalibu reason one since Harper was elected our government went from a surplus to a deficit

reason(stats Canada) 2 unnecessary spending of 9-16 billion dollars on fighter jets you whine about healthcare being cut then this you should be pissed about this(globe and mail+ military journal) reason 3 he killed the long census reason 4 changing the government of canada to the haper government i could go on i have not decided who to vote for yet but i know it will not be conservative with this

  • @cloudvszell NO NO NO! tell me why to vote for another party!! Not why!!!!!!!! I should not vote CONSERVATIVE

Give me three reasons to vote for your party.

  • @JackMalibu as i said before i havent decided im leaning toward liberal but i also haven tlooked at the ndp if i voted liberal it would be for the education and health care plans i havent seen what the ndp plan is so i cant comment on it bloc is obvious as to why i wouldnt vote for them as im not in quebec and green although moderate not likely to gain any real power once ive decided for sure though i will gladly tell you but for now those are the reason as to vote for anyone else

  • people who want to vote conservative should first look at the two parties web sites and you tube liberal yes speech is filtered but there is speech conservatives have blocked all comments on their videos killing free speech liberals have a rough budget conservatives have a claims im sorry but i cant fathom any one who would want to vote in a group who clearly hides its plans so it cant be accountable and who stops free speech this is Canada not china

  • @cloudvszell Free speech yes free speech What did Prime minister Harper say to China when he visited ??? do you remember? do you even know?? I bet you don't because after Harper was criticize for not going to the Olympics by the three other parties he clearly told China why!! to there leader at the time to his face.

  • @JackMalibu ok then so harper is a hypocrite to no end telling the Chinese to respect human rights then clearly banning people from his rallies and taking away peoples freedom of speech as you clearly pointed out you hate liars who say one thing then do another so why are you defending harper? but lets look at the news he never planned on attending even before what happened in tibet and then goes a year later to discuss trade partnerships (cbc and globe and mail)

  • @cloudvszell WQell I am done with you, I tried to debate you and I gave you a chance to bring in Ideas for your party of choice,, now I see that you can't . No matter what I say you will not open your mind to fact or reason for that matter. I am wasting my breath, for you do not wish to listen. I asked you three times to give me reasons to vote for your party and you cannot come up with ONE. CBC and the Globe are Liberal puppets how can you see the other side>?

  • @JackMalibu what debate i agreed on things and i resent others this hasnt been a debate as you have yet to site a single thing you whined about liberals not debating you then run when you dont win or get your way so what ever maybe the problem lies with you and not others. how can you claim them liberal puppets when there is a law in canada that makes it illegal for a news organization to lie they must be held accountable for their words. and again i havent decided on a party to give reasons for

  • @cloudvszell I have given you answers, you chose not to believe them and repeated the question. It's in black and white go back and read.

  • HarperGovernment.ca - Talk to SH directly

  • We're doomed.

  • Looking forward to getting my pockets lined.

  • Yeah. I'd heard about most of these already. Giving the NDP a shot. For one they have had less time to be corrupted, and for another they actually give a damn about the internet.

I also don't get how most people want to vote him back in. He's only good for corporations, not the average Canadian.

Also, the 66 dislikes are probably alt accounts by Harper. :P

  • Go Harper!!! I'll always vote Conservative. At least they have the balls to get things done when the rest just sit there and complain.

  • @nerr7 Now if only they'd get things that matter done.

  • Why bother voting at all, no matter who is elected we are going to get all these pretty promises and then end up with a corrupt dictator. Politicians disgust me, they are all lying to us and not worth our time. I am sick and tired of "oh he's such a bad guy" why not tell me why you're such a good guy for once and maybe I'll feel like paying attention to your lies.

  • @kingjonnyboy117 So vote for the guys that lie the least. I do remember Liberal Chretien saying he would cancel the GST and then didn't. I was a little upset with that but then I remembered that it was Conservative Mulroney that invented the GST in the first place, right in the middle of a huge recession back then as well. Mulroney also signed a free trade deal with U.S. that sent thousands of manufacturing jobs south to the U.S. and never came back.

  • @giraffe8888 True Free trade is not as good as they though it would be. I hate the Mulroney GST and I voted for Chretien to get rid of it, I was very upset when he did not. .......All I know now is to vote for the one who will hurt me the less and so far that is Conservative.

  • @JackMalibu so please explain how a gst has hurt you when it should help we as Canadians take advantage of our government daily with hospitals, police, schooling and so on if you want to see what less taxes gets you please by all means go to the states look how because they pay less taxes they pay more to private companies are rejected basic things like health coverage and if if the average person weighs it out its cheaper paying taxes then private

  • @JackMalibu wait so you voted liberal because you wanted to get rid of gst but now vote for the same group that created it how does that make any sense?

  • @cloudvszell I voted liberal to kill the gst as they promised, it did not happen. Then they cut health care by 25 billion... that is Fact. Then they also killed the Helicopters witch cost 50% more to get rid of the contract then it would have cost to buy them... That also is Fact. Then there is the AD SCAM !!! OMG I voted for the S.O.B.s... This makes the gst sound good don't it?? Liberal never again!!! They believe it's there right,,,but it's us who vote !!

  • @JackMalibu so voting for a guy who wants to spend what is it billions or Jets? and clearly has no regards for free speech and is basically trying to make us into America is better? i admit yes the liberals have made bad choices but i find it funny that you hold a liberal accountable for something a conservative created ya he didnt stop the gst but who is to blame for it in the first place a conservative if the conservative didnt create it it wouldnt have been an issue

  • @cloudvszell Buddy,,,, I stated why I voted Conservative and why I voted Liberal. I am not true to a one party I vote for what is best for me and my country. I show reason . The jets yes we need them .....the Conservatives are our troops best friend plain and simple. There no denying that is there he gave us a plan for the future.. Please read my comments you are only repeating yourself. Please tell me why to vote for someone else..... Not why I should not vote for Harper.

  • @JackMalibu You are quick to condemn a Conservative, but show no reason to vote for any other.

  • @JackMalibu really why do we need those jets why not the used us ones instead which would still be an upgrade and cost less or that many for that matter are we at war? are we having grand fighter jet battles over iraq no so why now if we had a surplus and that was one of the things that was on the table to put a bit of it toward i would agree not when we are in the whole

  • i have read your comments and remark accordingly if i dont see an answer to my question

  • @kingjonnyboy117 Have you been listening to Layton? Doesn't sound like it to me.

  • lol@butthurt canadian

  • my question to you is, what government hasn't actively lied to us. what other choice do we have they all want the same thing in some form or another. The only one that has a decent platform is the canadian action party.

the cons, ndp ,libies and greens, all want carbon taxes, they all want to join a world government and none of them talk about the private bank that enslaves us all.

so I say to you who is a good choice.

  • Preach, my friend. Fucking preach.

  • Just keep in mind when the Conservitives proposed cut backs and a balanced budget the opposition formed a coalition and threatened to take over the country unless the Conservitives changed the budget and spent billions on infastructure to stimulate the economy so they reluctantly did that and now we have this mess to contend with. How short some peoples memories are

  • "Hymne à la (r)évolution" on youtube

  • I'm still voting Conservative, and yes I have thought long and hard about it.

  • Why vote Conservative Bring in the Accountability act Bring in fixed elections To vote for Senators not appoint friends, I wish we could get rid of them.that's another story Pay off the deficit (no big promises we can't afford) Lower Taxes Job creation Money for health care ( the province screws up the spending) Our Military, it's now stronger then ever and much more is needed TAX FREE SAVINGS ACCOUNT need I say more? Give me three reasons to vote for your party?
  • and i urge you next time you make one of these things to show both sides of the story not just one biased opinion.

  • @HoundogAlex biased opinions are what elections are all about

  • @HoundogAlex So what is the other side. Please enlighten us.

  • conssayyes: I agree with all of your points, but the problem I'm finding with my friends who want to vote Con, is telling them who to vote FOR instead, and why. It's not enough any more to say Don't Vote Conservative. We have to tell them why to vote ______?

Jack Malibu did get one thing right: the Conservatives WILL let you keep your money in your pocket ... if you're a corporate CEO.

  • @JackMalibu go ahead Jack. Post your video. Of course there are issues with the other parties but NONE of them have showed even an iota of Harper's cynical disregard for parliamentary democracy. No sane, thoughtful, level-headed person can look at this list of Conservative screw ups and secretive actions and find a reasonable defence for half of them.

  • @oscarfellini What is shown in this Video has extensively been talked about on CBC a Canadian taxpayers television network.

Is the Liberal Party as justly dissected by the CBC?? No it is not!. Most Liberals have no clue of the wrong doings of there own party or will not admit to it.

Does the video show He tried to bring in the Accountability act?? and it was voted down!

Does the video show He tried to have Senators voted for rather then appointed ?? the other parties said no!

  • @JackMalibu Does this video show He tried to bring in fixed election dates?? the other parties have that bill stalled!

Does this video show He has given money to other riding's for infrastructure? no!! it says Conservative riding's only!!

Does this video show that the biggest deficit in Canadian history was force upon the Conservative government by the three other parties !!

  • @JackMalibu Anyone who knows anything knows this video knows it is filled with many lies an accusation and half truths.

This video brings up a bunch of topics that were clearly answered, just not/nor could it ever be to your way of thinking.

No sane person can or would believe that what happened with the G8 and G20 meetings would have been any different under any other Government.

  • @JackMalibu

-The accountability act was voted in with Liberal and Tory support...just because Harper doesn't respect it doesn't mean it wasn't voted in...

-That's because they don't want something called "voter fatigue" to happen. Look it up.

-What? Are you listening to yourself? Sounds like Tory propaganda. How can the opposition parties force a deficit?

-What's the benefit of fixed election dates?

-Yes, he has given $ to other ridings for infrastructure. Pity it hasn't been justly distributed.

  • When you vote, vote for the party who will hurt you less in the pocket book!! Tax ( carbon )tax ( green ) tax ( all business ) is all the liberals and NDP talk about....Tax and spend.

    Tax you, spend on themselves.

Do yourself a favor, vote for Harper, keep the cash in your pocket book

  • @JackMalibu I would rather keep my Healthcare, CPP and E.I. in case I ever need it, Thanks.

  • @giraffe8888 Do you follow what is going on with are governments?? Biggest health care cut 25 billion over 5 years by Chretien and Martin. If from Ontario 1 billion gone in less then 2 years i E Health with nothing to show for Mr dalton mcguinty of the Liberals. When it comes to health care a liberal cannot be trusted and that is fact. Harper government has and will continue to give the money to the province as always You wont need EI under Harper and his job creations, vote NDP to keep CPP.

  • @JackMalibu ya you also wont need to talk because Harper is clearly against freedom of speech you know like his you tube account with comments blocked or the lady who was evicted from their meeting i rather wait 10 mins longer to get 3 stitches from a cut then loose my freedom of speech

  • @cloudvszell lol very funny Cloudvezel hahaha Do you know how many Liberal accounts I have been blocked from. I find it funny when I challenge there statements that they would rather block me and delete my post, then debate me with fact and not FICTION.

  • @JackMalibu very funny what some speech is still better then none 1 is more then 0 and so on if you want to debate it which is better conservative or liberal i welcome it i will not block you and as i did earlier i will reference when possible i didnt for the census as i watched it on the news and dont feel like looking back up and as for the changing of the government thing cbc news so try to call me liar

  • @cloudvszell I never once called you a liar, I only responded to your statements. I just wish I could hear some reasons to vote for Liberal or NDP other then health care........ ( when it comes to health care they are all liars)......... Jack has great Ideas but we all know he would bankrupt the country trying to fulfill his promises.

  • @JackMalibu no you didnt call me a liar but you said that you present fact not fiction basically calling everyone else you have debated a liar thats why i added that part

  • @JackMalibu You know WHY you have been banned from those accounts? Because if you've been acting the same way there, it's because you rudely insult and pull non factual arguments out of thin air. It's not because you oppose them. It's how you're opposing them.

  • @JackMalibu

Are you a corporate CEO? I doubt most of us are, and in our cases, Harper's the worst option. Layton is the best. You see, Layton takes money from places that can afford it or don't need it, then gives that money to us average Canadians.

  • Remember it was The Liberals, the NDP and BQ who demanded The Conservative spend the money.

The Deficit cannot be blamed on Harper

  • Chretien Prorogued parliament when Martin was wanting to take over.

Martin under Chretien cut 25 billion in health care over 5 years.

    This is never mentioned.

  • AS A CANADIAN I'M TRULY SCARED THAT THIS DOUCHE WILL WIN.

  • @valav77 anyone but this guy plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... only god can save us

  • Adolf Harper will get his majority because the majority of people are morons.

  • @trenchcoatmafioso Fortunately I think a majority is very unlikely; the polls are generally good predictors with a nominal Conservative bias. Incidentally there are methodological problems with the Nanos polls; the Ekos polls are generally more accurate.

  • Nothing new.

  • The only real job before entering politics was as a mail boy in the mailroom of the Imperial Oil Edmonton. A job his Father got him. He has degrees in economics but has never worked a day in that field.

  • The public is foolish, why should I care if a government has not been entirely honest in its representation of actions? I still believe Harper's caucus has done a fantastic job given the circumstances.

  • @Ephemerance Uh.. A monkey would have known to conduct stimulus spending during the recession we just faced. There was nothing unique about the way Harper managed the economy. In fact, it was the strict regulations on Canadian banking put in place during the Liberal governments that helped Canada avoid the deep recession other countries faced, regulations which Conservatives argued to DO AWAY WITH in order to be 'more competitive' and consistent with the US.

  • @aeiouy123

"regulations which Conservatives argued to DO AWAY WITH"

I was poking around for that for a while but I didn't come across anything. Do you have any links that cite that information? I'm skeptical.

  • You forgot getting kicked off the UN Security Council. It's apparently not enough that Harper is embarrassing us in our own country, now the world sees it, too...

  • @Remidora If you listen to other News then the CBC you would no why we are proud to be out of the UN. Did you see who replaced us?? Do we want to be affiliated with them?? Do your homework and look it up it's embarrassing.

  • @JackMalibu What, did mean old Portugal turn down your work visa application due to your bad spelling? :-( Aww, poor fella, no wonder you're bitter against them. Hugs! :-)

  • @Remidora lol thats's all you got??

  • @Remidora We didn't get "kicked off" the UN Security Council, we've never been a permanent member of it.

  • Not to mention treating this election like the non-confidence motion was about the budget rather than the contempt finding, and constructing attack ads using quotes from obscure sources taken out of context. Bravo, Mr. Harper, you've reached a whole new level of political slime.

  • THANK YOU. No one is saying this and it DESPERATELY needs to be said.

  • Well this is innacurate. 40% of the people who actually care about voting or are willing to answer a stupid survey is 40% of 38%... so it's really all that much.

  • It's kinda funny... Harper promises all these things, then goes back on them 2 seconds after the other side says "Bullshit"... He promised Newfoundland/Nova Scotia the difference, from what Emera doesn't pay, for that, over, $6.2 billion Pipeline from Newfoundland-Nova Scotia-New England... Then, when Mr. Duceppe says "Quebec doesn't want this." He says "Don't worry Quebec, you'll get what you want... Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, tough break... 'Cause Quebec calls the shots in this government."...

  • @Bluescreen9999 you must be a nasty Con always using adjectives such as stupid and dumb to argue against others who put forth arguments that are not in line with you. The biggest reason why the Canadian economy is doing so well against the economies of other G20 nations is that Chretien and Martin prevented the Canadian banks from merging with larger US banks in the 1990s. Had they allowed our banks to do so, we would have had to bail out our institutions or see them falter.

  • Jesus, Bluescreen, how much do you get paid for this? I know Harper camps Facebook profiles, but Youtube comments? That's a whole new level of paranoid.

  • Travelling to other parts of the world, I just feel ashamed by Harper and immediately proceed to distantiate myself from his party's views and policies.

  • I was gonna vote green but this biased video makes me want to vote conservative :P

  • @ARandomCanadian This video enumerates actual government behaviour. Fuck 'biased'.

  • @markdmckenna Were in a deficit because of Jean Chretien

  • @ARandomCanadian Defecit spending began in earnest in the mid 70s and continued monotonically until the late 90s. From there until 2005 (when Harper stepped in) we ran a strong surplus, cutting federal debt in half. 2005 marked the tenth consectutive surplus year. The trend continued in a similar vein until the fallback of 2008 when Harper's single-year defecit amplified the debt to pre-1995 levels.

Not that I think he should be faulted with that, as I believe the fallback required action.

  • Thank you.

  • I can't wait for a conservative majority!! Wooot!!

  • "Giving disproportionate amounts of money to ridings that voted Conservative"... ya, that's NEVER been done by Liberals. Videos like this piss me off because they go too far. Stop after the Contempt of Parliament and proroguing stuff, those are legitimate attacks. The "Harper's Mean" and doctored documents, etc just seems desperate and hurts Liberals. Liberal attacks at Conservatives always go too far and seem whiny and negate the authenticity of the legitimate attacks. Quality over quantity.

  • @CP47 Hardly. I'm not keeping my mouth shut about any of my representatives' wrongdoings, regardless of party orientation. This guy's assenine behaviour is a flood and I want to see every bit of it published. Then, publish the Liberals' crap, and the NDP's crap, and the greens, and the Bloc. Put it out there, let people know.

There is no legal framework for ensuring the honesty of our politicians; only the democratic framework. Let people know, regardless of who it is.

  • @walkwithmeNY

You say us canadians are tired of left wing liberal liars so then we should be satisfied with the conservative liars instead? If you read the news you'll see these stories are true. Do a little research before you make an ignorant comment.

  • How much more proof you need to vote against Harper??

  • Come on guys on the second of way Quebec will vote for NPD but we can't do it alone !

  • voting for Harper is a vote for lining the pockets of the rich and making life more difficult and unpleasant for the non rich.

  • 2011, Anything but Harper

  • @guitardude57 No, Harper really has done all of these things. Try reading the news once in a while.
