I am 3 blocks from the original location for Kemp Mill Records actually IN Kemp Mill. SO classic...back when my biggest worry was finding that extra 5 dollars to buy the newest album.
Man...that breaking records thing was their claim to fame. We lived in Alexandria, VA from '80 to '83, and there were similar commercials...except the announcer was a MALE. And yeah, I used to tag along with Pops when he went to Kemp Mill Records, Waxie Maxie, and towards the end of our time in the area...EROL'S! The good ol' days!!!
I've been waiting for an old Kemp Mill Records commercial! I bought the album advertised here at Waxie Maxies - another GREAT store from a great (and sadly gone) era.

I remember this commercial. My friend and I joked about it and wrote the script in our yearbooks!
