Sadly i was looking for something else and saw a headline about teena marie`s memorial...i did not know this beautiful voice was gone until 2 minutes ago...i`m a truck driver so i don`t always know whats going on in the world but this is very sad news...My mom is 62 yrs old and has only seen 1 live concert in her life and that was Rick James and Teena Marie at the Greensboro Colusium 1981..Greensboro.N.C...

@fredquick21 You were really lucky to have seen her and Rick back then. I remember when they first came to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1981. My cousins went to see them back then. I wanted to go sooo badly. They were so good that w/in a couple of months, they were back by popular demand. I missed that one too. I never got to see Lady T in concert.

Wow... Both Rick and Teena were so talented. I was lucky to see Lady T two times in Boston. She never came back which I wish she did. So underated in the industry and this women could sing, write and perform. No other female will ever match what Teena Marie did and how powerful her vocal range is.. RIP my little angel. You are missed and will never be forgotten in your fans hearts... :( Gone way to soon!!!

Wow! I have never seen this footage before! Been waiting since '81 to see this concert footage of Rick and Teena in Long Beach. Maybe someday we'll get to see the show in its entirety. The loss of Teena and Rick is very hard to take...
