The easiest way to beat red's pokemon is fight with the opposite element of his pokemon. This is just my suggest. ^^v

Pikachu >>> You can use Quaqsire (Anti Electric Attack)

Blastoise >>> Ampharos (Thunder or Discharge)/Grass type pokemon.

Charizard >>> Lugia/Water Pokemon (Hydro Pump or Surf).

Venusaur >>> Typhlosion/Fire type pokemon/Flying type pokemon.

Lapras >>> Same with Blastoise

Snorlax >>> (The most annoying) Only fighting type pokemon can beat this giant bear easly (One Hit KO).

@DeusDoku this is a easier way to say how to get him. Have as many ultra balls and use a pokemon which has cotton spore or something to stop him. Then lower his HP and then catch him! It only took me 2 balls.

It's not that hard, I had sold my pokemon on level 60, then I trained in the pokemon league and by the end of the week, all my pokemon were on level 80. It also helps if u use pokemon traded from other games. They get more exp points and level up faster

I disagree with Red's party. In the manga, his party was:

Venusaur

Poliwrath

Pikachu

Gyarados

Aerodactyl

Snorlax

And even if it was based on Ash, it's still wrong. Ash released Lapras, and neither Squirtle or Bulbasaur evolved.

It's a great game and a great battle, but it's still a fail :P

@maxi11518 Pretty easy. Ice is weak against rock, and laparas is ice/water. So what he did is using dragon dance to buff his attack level, than use stone edge to OHKO him; personnally, I can ohko it WITHOUT stone edge, i think. And about the low damage inflicted by brine, Tyranitar's special defense rises highly in the sandstorm his special triggers, and brine inflicts special damage.

@Pokemonloversforever Well if you're sure you have the best, save the game before you fight him that way if you're losing badly start over by turning the game off, but be sure to store up on potions etc. It took me a while, but I defeated him after 4 tries. He has strong Pokemon, but here's my team and they're not that good yet I beat him:

Scisor Lv. 77

Crobat Lv. 84
