@WhyAyeMann Actually, mile post six is on the right in the video. If you look hard enough you can just barely make it out in all the snow. The first curve is the one just before the trestle, and starts the grade up to trask's crossing, which is the one in sight of Alna Center, and has a grade of about 2.5%
The WW&F is a two foot gauge railroad in Alna Maine that is slowly recreating a small piece of Maine's history. The original railroad once ran from Wiscasset Maine, to Albion Maine, 44 miles in length. The railroad today starts near MP 5 and extends about a half mile past MP 7. The WW&F stands for Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington. We run steam most weekends in the summer, as long as steam in operational and there is no technical problems.
Joe, The man who started it all (if I am not mistaken) gave us a tour back in 98. I loved it!! I believe he has since passed away. I was sorry to hear that. He was real generous with his time. We appreciated it. Nice to see your all keeping the dream alive. To you guys that have found and enjoy this video on You Tube, you should make the trip to check it out sometime. Nothing like the bark of a steam engine under a load. I hope to make it back myself one day. Long live the WW&F!!!
glad you enjoyed the video. This scence is located about a mile from where the track was in 98. It was a lot of fun, and as you can tell by the sound, the steam engine is working for all she's worth.
Luv it when 10 blows smoke rings like that.
By the way, was this taken near cockeyed curve?

Is that a double header of a steam and a diesel loco? Must be- why else would there be an air horn...?
