Wow, he is one of the few singers whose voice is actually brighter and higher live than in the recording studio. Usually studios recordings even out vocal color and the overall effect is to make it sound much brighter (compare with Freddy Mercury). I would say that the studio recordings make this guy's voice a lot darker.

For some reason no one paid attention to live at the time, maybe except for i alone - now they seem to be getting aclaim for throwing copper even though they never made an impact in the UK in the mid 90's - no one gave them airtime? I knew they were cool then!!!! I only found out about them when beavis & butthead ripped the piss out of them - worth checking that one out for a laugh though!!!!!

@boutch69 But Live did change, no? Jewelry, Copper, Samadhi were fantastic albums. The Distance was so-so. I didn't even pick up the next albums. They were bad, and they changed for the worse. It's unfortunate, but it happens. And how about this dvd? God I fucking hate these over-produced pieces of garbage. Can't we just watch the band play?
