Ettore Bugatti didn't build a Royale on "spec". You had to interview with him and he had to approve you before he would build a car for you. I believe all 6 (there is some evidence to suggest that there were actually 7) of the Royales were built after they were sold. It is a rare pleasure to even see one today.
@AlistairVeyron sure race versions like the 35 37 51 and probably others but those fenders probably weigh a ton. haha and hey thats a nice Chrysler turbine car.
If I'm not mistaken, this was the Bugatti on display at the 'Les Annees 20' exhibition in Montreal in '91. Truly impressive vehicles!

It's a really impressive car! 12,8l 12cyl produces 180hp @1800 RPM.
I've seen the "Cupe Napoleon" in the french national museum. That is i.m.o. the most elegant car ever made.

I think 6 cars were made, 3 were sold. The remaining motors were used for trains.
