The only sad part about these demos, is that is a person does not have good speakers to listen to the demo then they cannot appreciate the quality of such amazing speakers. I have the SR subwoofer. Great quality. Hope to get the SR fronts as well.

@nustangchristian I haven't used the newer PA amps so I can't speak for them. The MOMO amps are very well built, efficient and push decent power. I wouldn't expect any less from the PA line.

@ahmed1717 I installed the same speakers in my 97 honda civic in the door like you would any other speaker. Just cut the plastic that would normally be behind it. Looks really good. Polk is the way to go, bro. And if you have the newer models they are not oversized, they're actually smaller than comparable speakers because they use a different type of magnet that is smaller and lighter. Look at some CDT's or MB quarts that take the same power and put out the same sound. They're massive.

Nope, in this video they aren't bi-amped. I'm using the included passive crossover with 100 watts to each side.

look at the RMS rating of the sub than figure out if your wiring the sub to 1,2, or 4 ohms and find an amp that would go good with it, my suggestion would be staying with the same company like polk but since polk amps are expensive i recommend rockford fosgate amps are if your looking for power but cheap hifonics amps

camera mics can't handle lows and highs, they are made for picking up voice, aka mids. Vary few people waste money on camera's that can handle the sound. In RL that shit sounds good buddy of mine has a similar setup.

Sounds like you have big plans. I think the new polk amps would work great for your future setup. the 4-channel amplifier, PA500.4 can provide sufficient power to each set of the sr6500 and the PA1200.1 mono block amplifier can power both of the sr subs - make sure you get both subs in DVC so you can wire them to a 1 ohm load. Doing this will provide each sub with 600 watts.

If you're gonna be using that amp and you want to run a pair of SR subs, make sure they're both 4 ohm SVC woofers. Since that amp puts out 1500 @ 2 ohms, each sub will get 750 watts.

If that amp is 1 ohm stable (I don't think it is) you can get DVC subs... just be careful with the gain since it'll probably put out a lot more power at a 1ohm load.

In this vid, each sub is getting 500 watts and the gain is around 30%. Soon I'll be giving each sub 800 watts.

Thanks for your comment. Left speaker isn't blown. If you're referring to the end of the video, I had the bass turned down and lower frequencies were filtered out. Last 9 secs of the video, you can see the driver excursion after the HPF is turned off.

Very nice start man, I have the SR 6500's as well, I have 2 12in SVC SR subs tho. a 1500w Kicker amp to power those 2 and a 600w amp to power the speakers. Amazing speakers though arent they!

yea i second that statement NOBODY that likes premium car audio will be disipointed in the SR line subs. i went single sub SPL and quality last year and i researched the SR for months bought it and blew the first one in a ported box within 1 week. polk sent me a new one 3 days later and i sealed it up in a 1.3cf box and ive never had a problem since and i bang all the timehot or cold dosent matter. ahmed are the sr speakers really worth the extra few hundred bucks for a slightly better quality?

I love the SR components... the ring radiator tweeter is very smooth and crisp. the driver packs a good punch and blends in very well with the subs. I still need to get a processor and deaden the doors to get it perfect, but all in all, I am very pleased with them. If you can afford them and properly amplify them, I say go for it. I used to have the momo components and while I liked them a lot, there is quite a noticeable difference between them and these. hope this helps

Thanks. Well I bought my 12" SR subs about a year and a half ago locally from an authorized dealer. Each sub was selling for almost $400 but the guy was nice and sold them both to me for about $750 including 14% sales taxes. But I had to save up quite a bit for the subs as well as the components, wiring and amps. Just take your time and save up. You won't be disappointed if you but anything from the SR line.
