difference is they don't cut you all the way down they make a small incision and then run a tool into the cut that cuts the facia. Nice animation though

crazy stuff.. i asked because you did a really good job covering up the seam before it gets cut with the knife. i guess proper unwrapping and texturing would take care of that..

The slice was done then the edges were placed very close together so as to look contiguous. Thanks for the compliments.

nice.. how did you make the knife cuttin the skin? how was that animated / made? any compositing tricks?

The only thing composited was the transparencey.

The slice was done using Morph Targets and was really hard to do...
