The lyrics you have written are so wrong throughout the entire song. The chorus is " Ghetto heaven. The world is a ghetto. Freedom, oh yeah. Feel your sorrow."
k/os and sam roberts was a match made in a yellow heaven world. fuck yeah i fucking love this fucking song. and dirty water. its nice to see some real music again... shit that flows and isnt made for a record label. THIS IS FUCKING GOOD MUSIC
Is this supposed to be paying homage to bob dylan. It's like a hiphop version of Subterranean Homesick Blues. The first verse has kinda the same flow. listen to the song before u hate too much haha.
Too true, Canada is what Hip hop would have been like if the artists had to keep struggling to get hip hop noticed while still evolving their style. They never lost their creativity just hope Canadian Hip Hop changes American hip hop not the other way around (though I've heard many tracks of Canadian artists starting to rhyme in that style) but I heard them getting put down by Canadian fans who won't stand for that. I saw the comments on a mixtape review, like 95% said this is not Canadas talent
What do you mean? Do you mean that the Hip-Hop in Canada is kind of like what hip-hop was for the states years ago? Like we're behind? If so I understand that too, like our hip-hop is still an underground indie scene here in Canada. And Did you mean by that last part that Canada doesn't like our barnd of Hip-hop?
Naw, what I meant was Canadian Hip Hop is like back in the 90's hip hop but grown up without the influence of commercialism and what not. (aka sounds new too)
and the other part was that. I've heard a mixtape where it was canadian artists who rhyme like alot of those terrible American artists that Record companies are pushing that don't make good music. But the comments under where you could download+listen to the tape had comments saying that this is not where Canadian artists should be going
Well, it depends because K-Os, Shad, Rascalz and Classified Sweatshop Union (etc.) are definitely on the right path but there are the other ones who are just making the other stuff (the commercials stuff). I just want to see for a change the Canadian music scene influencing the American scene, but it seems as if it's already started on us
It's sad that we seem to be tag along inspirations if you know what I mean. I get what your saying now and I totally agree that it would be nice for Canada to be leading a hip-hop scene for once. At least we have artists such as K-os and others that go their own way. Is there any way you could give me a list of Canadian Hip-hop artists? I'm not very knowledgeable about the hip-hop scene.
I feel the same, way. He has good music and we know he can make good... no better music because Dangerous wasn't all that bad, but he's done so much better.
This is the first time I've heard the original song. I first heard this song at the end of an episode of Enterouge, but the background music was acoustic. Thanks for the upload none the less.
I think the words are Ghetto Heaven. Not Yellow Heaven.

I'm gonna comment anyway, and say you don't know much about music at all if you truly believe Paris Hilton is better then K-os.

I'm going to say that you don't know much about the world if you think that liking a band better than another is in anyway an objective opinion.
That said, I really like this song! =)

This song is really different from any American song I've ever heard...in a good way. It makes me feel alive
estherine 3 years ago 2
That's cuz K-Os isn't American, he's Canadian. No American can make such interesting hip-hop music.
