Thank you for posting this! Before stumbling upon these tributes to Monty here on YouTube, I thought Monty Clift the actor had been almost completely forgotten. When he is remembered, it only seems to be for his troubled personal life, or speculation on his bisexuality or homosexuality. The thought breaks my heart, becuase if he knew that, if would be the final devastation. Thanks to everyone who keeps the memory of this beautiful, fantastic actor alive!

I watched 'From Here to Eternity" again tonight. It's still a great movie. 13 Oscar nominations, 8 wins. Too bad Monty didn't win Best Actor for it. Lost to Holden for "Stalag 17." Monty, in fact the entire cast, was great!!
