  • Iwc

  • Iwc never manufactured a single chronograph, they always used movements from other manufacturers such as the valjoux 7750.

  • @MrPerfectlogic

True, but It has been a few years that they now have the in-house chrono with flyback feature originally used in the newer DaVinci line.

  • I think most IWC watches offer a great value for money. If you look at other watches with minute repeaters and perpetual calendars from brands like Patek Philippe and Audermars Piguet, they are much more expensive. For example, the very similar Royal Oak Grande Complication is about three times more expensive.

  • @Corbon440 really? and do you know by chance the prize on this watch? thanks.

  • @PAPO9609

The IWC GC with platinum case and leather bracelet is listed at USD 216k. Since this version has a yellow gold case, it should be a tad cheaper, maybe around 200k. Last time I read about it, the AP Royal Oak GP in full platinum was listed slightly above 700k.

  • @Corbon440 wow, the prize is much lower than a patek on its same level! and it looks as good too! impressive, thank you.

  • this watch is much better than any rolex, omega, Breitling....

  • @89srbin89 There is no question about that. Rolex, Omega, Breitling, et. al will produce over 1,000,000 watches per year - comparatively speaking, they are for tree surgeons. There are unlikely even 100 minute repeaters made by all watch companies combined per year - they are for brain surgeons.

  • minute repeaters are beautiful, but i heard they get pretty old after a while

  • perfect mechanisms in "pimp-watch like" case designs. Bildiğin pezevenk saati...

  • love the dial!

  • You can start off with a spitfire mark xvi automatic, that what i did so now i am a proud owner of this iconic brand for £3000 only. This is my most valued buy as i aspire to be a collector.

  • @roycK10 I also aspire to be a collector, my first swiss pieces were a Breitling Navimeter and a Longines master collection chronograph. I would love to buy a IWC, but i don't like the spitfire, i want the Portuguese.

  • @CetnikCCCCSrbin There is a rose gold IWC SPITFIRE with UTC going for £10,000.00 only 500 made. This makes a good collectors investment. I love my spitfire because of its elegance in simplicity....will not touch the brand Breitling or Longines. Portuguese is is highly recommended!

  • @MrRoyck10 For simplicity i would go with a Luminor Panerai. I cant afford a Portuguese yet but even then its quite a ways down my list. I want a Hublot Big Bang and a Panerai before i buy a Portuguese.

  • Oooh I want one, Now if I only had 195k for a wrist watch.

  • nice watch.awsome swiss.
