there are a good amount of people that skate vert now, but you're probably confusing vert with transition. basically, as it's becoming more and more illegal to skate street all the time, cities and businesses are building skate parks. This has come for more kids to be more well rounded, and take street tricks to a park.

plus, this kids like 10, and i see more 10 yr olds skating parks than street.
