  • Could the old brno stock be sanded out to make a floated barrel?

  • @cruelpower1 It could be but there isnt allot of wood near the forend and wouldnt be comfortable with what was left.. if you havent got the time timber tools or skills it is the way to go however

  • @reloader2208 I have a brno mod 2 and id like to improve its accuracy..yea theres not much wood but I tink il attempt to sand down the stock bit by bit..Thanks very much for your help..you've made my mind up.

  • It is possible to obtain this ?

  • @lOverbOytx1 no mate

  • i want to learn how to make that style stock for a italian carcano i got give a sporty look and feel they look awsome but ima go with a darker finish any advice would be appreciated

  • wow i think ther stunning i like the bedding idea i want a cstom stock for my marlin model 50 witch is a rare rifle u wont find it on youtube untill i can fix that that is but over all i love em

  • Very fine job on the stocks,if i didn't know i'd say they were factory made

but concerning the barrel rubbing on the original stock i think this video will help you fix that (i will send you the link through a PM because i keep getting an "Error, try again)

  • First let me just say wow nice job on the stocks!, funny I just bought a brno2 and anschutz 1450 the other day, never even considered bedding something as small as a .22 but I like the idea of leaving the barrel just touching the end of the stock.

Also where in OZ are you and would your old man make stocks for someone in QLD?

  • @Leuopold send me a pm if your really keen we are in south east qld

  • good job! Its often suggested in tuning .22s that u leave a bit of preassure on the end of the barrel chanel to help distribute the weight. This needs trail and error. Also the rear screw at the tang is left w o any pressure to the stock, only the screw under the sight (as on the Brno) and the screw under the ring is bearing, the stock is bedded between these two. But whatever whorks will do! There is more art than science in tuning rifles! I love light coloured stock btw!

  • @Axbent cheers for the comment yeah wasnt looking to build a target rifle or anything it just helps shooting hares around 80 meters

  • nice job!

  • Very nicee stocks but why not clear the barrel by taking the high points off the old one with a half round file?

  • i could have easily done what you suggested but i like to bed them aswell and there realy wasnt enough material left for bedding so it was just easier and i like projects like this anyway

  • Makes sense to m. Nice work.

  • well done steben

  • gees DAD did a good job

  • you gonna put a different finish on em look a bit wierd nice work though

  • nope they look great in the sun and my shitty vid cam doesnt help im making another stock for another anschutz with silky oak and red ceader grip cap and but plat spacer

  • looks awesome

  • dang those anshuts are expensive are they worth the money?

  • well yeah definatly if your willing to spend a bit of time tuning them in a bit just like any rifle but yeah my brno shoots better than the anschutz but still anyone would be impressed with the groups they both produce

  • okay i wasnt trying to be an ass i was jus sayin i didnt know if u knew or not

  • sorry mate was in a shit mood huntin trip went bad but yeah i didnt want to risk changing the origional theres not much room for error

  • you didnt have to make a new stock to free float the barrel

  • yeah i know but i did anyway not only because of that but because i made the new one to fit me better there isnt much wood on the brno mod 2 incase you hadnt noticed and it was front heavy so is there anything else mum? and actually theres bugger all wood on them so and mods to the origional woulda been hairy

  • Very nice!

  • only video i could find of a brno mod 2, my father owns 1 exactly like it, well what it use to look like, very accurate old gun. nice work tho looks nice

  • yeah mate its awesomely accurate

  • yeah they are thanks mate

  • Good stuff, I have a BSA CF2 in 222 I re-barrled and re-chambered to 223. We floated the barrel and the results were outstanding.

  • yeah mate bit of work and most rifles shoot pretty well

  • nice video
