I use an Android tablet now. It is awesome. I use it as a portable HD player too. I hook up HDMI cable to any compatible TV and YEAH! 32GB (I added 16 gb via ini SD card). I hacked it, rooted it and have access to thousands of APPs.

@gavincharlie If you compress movies tightly with low resolution, I bet you could fit UP TO 10 movies in 2 gigabytes. This device has a low resolution display, and I doubt it is even able to play higher resolution videos.

I have something like that only the screen is bigger.It's a piece of shit,the battery drains in 2 hours even if I don't use it(if I use it it's done in an hour).The screen is unclear and sometimes it doesn't respond to buttons.It was verrrry cheap and not worth it.

Don't buy this thing. It will make you cry. I've had several different versions of these things and they all feature the same user interface. It sucks, its slow, hard to navigate and it takes so much effort to just play a song.

The player is also a Flash drive. Drag-n-drop AMV movie files into the movie folder. The movie files can be converted to AMV from other formats like AVI or MPG with the included software.

The V-Touch is the newer player at about the same price, but much better with more memory and smoother video play on a good resolution screen.

It's kind of funny that this MP4 player was made in 2007, and looks like a predecessor to the 4th Generation iPod nano. And then in 2008, Apple released the 4th generation iPod nano, and it looks like the player in the video!

The "ChiPod" shown in the video here uses the MP4 codec, but with the *.AMV file extension. Your nano version may appear similar, however the file format is probably different but may still use a version of the mp4 codec.

You may need to update (actually replace) the software in the device. I'm thinking the firmware. I'll have to look into this, because you can accidentally 'brick' the thing useless.

I put Alice in Wonderland (2010) in it. I converted the mpeg-4 to avi using xilisoft software then i converted it to amv. type video files in it at 192x144 resolution. Fortunately, the video quality is very excellent, no blurr..rich colour. I'm just wondering what type of converter he uses??

I bought one and its ok, but a word of warning,. I scanned my Chinese CD and it has 1 Trojan on it and 1 Virus as well. I used Mcafee to scan it. I tried to copy the nes game files to the mp3 player but was not successful. Also some of these have weak old batteries that will not charge but about 2/3 of a charge.

And for music, several hours. I listen to music on car trips or mowing the grass and doing yard work, so I never actually ran out the battery in one single session.

I am not sure what you need to do.

I think you have to reformat the ChiPod with FAT16 (reatrded!). Look that up in Google search to make sure.
