My parents were always raving about this Myrna Lorrie singer.. but I have never seen anything by her, before this.. I know that I have heard her name several times... Thanks for posting this. She is very pretty and very talented.. Love her voice.

My favorite song of Myrna's is Can't Live with Him.. I use to call into the radio station to have them play it, it was a #1 hit for her .. that was long ago, back in 65, I also really like Blue Blue Me, and Our Love Keeps Coming Back from her album in 89.

Myrna was my neighbour when I was a little girl growing up in Thunder Bay...I used to play with her daughter. I thought she was the most glamourous woman in the world! It was like visiting Mary Tyler Moore! Very nice lady too.

When she moved, we inherited her dachsund/beagle doggie Leroy.

When I found her CD in Sam the Record Man 5 years ago, I scooped it up to replace some of the 45s that she gave us...One song on there, Count the Tears I'm Gone, is brilliant and should have been a huge hit...

What a wonderfull version of this song. It is also a great pairing of talent (Myrna Lorrie & Thom Bresh) . I loved watching this show when it was on television. I do miss these kind of shows, and this kind of talent on the air waves; thanks for posting this... what a treat .

She is very deserving of those awards, and I like you am shocked that she hasn't got a star on the walk of fame in Canada.. but I don't feel that we have done a great job with that anyhow. But she is still very deserving of a star no question.

I am with you, when I think of some of the people who have stars on the walk of fame; and to think that Myrna Lorrie doesn't have one, well it doesn't make much sense at all ! She is a big part of Canadian televsion.,not the mention a huge part of country music or music in general in Canada

Myrna was also among the inagurial inductees to the Canadian Country Hall of Fame in 1989, and was inducted to the CCMA's Hall of Honour in 1996.

She has 2 Junos, the first in 1970, was called the MapleLeaf Award at the time, the next year they became the Junos. She was also the inagurial winner of the Big Country Awards - female vocalist and entertanier of the year in 1977.

I used to go and see her at Country Gold in Toronto... I remember her version of the Rose which everyone use to request that she did before the show was over... a truly great voice .. and Canadian Talent !

Talent like Ms. Lorrie doesn't come along very often.. I wish that there was more footage of her as she was on many tv shows, Don Messeir, Tommy Hunter, Country Time which she hosted.

I first met Myrna in 1957 while she worked at the record store in Port Aurthur Ontario. At that time she was in a sort of limbo but once Hank Snow met her, she was back on the road. She had a split happy life and sad life.

Mryna Lorraine Petrunka is her name, and what stage presence she has. I can't believe she doesn't have a star on Canada's Walk of Fame. The last time I saw her was in 2003 - she made the whole show, many Canadian Ledgends where there; but she stole the show.

She's a few years younger having been in the country music business since she was 14.

I don't know Tom Bresh and neither did Ginny when I asked her the other day but on this showing he's as good as any guy in country and certainly better than Kenny Rogers
